I thought the “dullard” was a nice change from the grandstanding of many Senators and the fake little-girl posing of the witness.
She was professional, competent, stuck to the facts of the matter, and asked relevant questions.
Maybe I’m alone, but I respect her and what she had to say.
The independant prosecutor was really good. Her job was to highlight the incompatible testimony as well as to call attention to missing facts which should have been clearly remembered by Christine. She did it beautifully.
I didn’t understand just what she was doing but Levin explained the questioning. All of this in front of some unhinged Demo Senators who didn’t utter a peep.
I'm with you. She had a thankless task. No matter what she did, how she acted, the derps would say that she beat up on the victim.
She walked the fine line very well. Her questions related to facts, not feelings. And when she caught Edsel in a lie, she didn't go all Perry Mason, she just made a note and moved on. In an amazing testament to critical thinking, not many paid attention to how she deftly got Edsel to point out her own inaccuracies. All without fireworks and posturing.
I agree she did fine. Although a somewhat disjointed process due to time constraints as well as CBF relentlessly running out the clock with her unending rummaging through her papers. My guess is her stalling was intentional.
A lot of questions she might have asked but didn't. I would have loved to hear her ask if she is now or ever has been a C_A asset...
Youre kind. I was too shocked by her performance, in the highest stake hearing, Ive ever seen, to appreciate Rachels performance. I agree she is competent in her field and our side purposely picked this kind of performance. Thank God Lindsay saw we were dying, pulled the cord and went on offensive.
