It's not going to cost Kavanaugh any democrat votes. They were all going to vote against him anyway, so, no change, no matter what. You can't lose what you never had.

What if someone is reminded of the connection, that puts them on the spot. It will not win any Republican votes so why do it.

If the vote for confirmation is done, republicans will still vote the way they were going to a few weeks ago. It's only the RINOs who might vote against, but then, that was also expected a few weeks ago. Kavanaugh might still get 50/50 and the VP would break the tie.

Look, I feel awful for Juanita... but her appearance does more to remind everyone that “we” the collective public, didn’t believe her. She is part of the believe women narrative the left is pushing...

At this point, I do not believe the women and even if their stories are a teensy bit true... they themselves participated in a culture of heavy drinking. I saw it all around me in the 80’s and 90’s and was usually repulsed.
