Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) says that she and her husband are ready to leave their home in Alaska and “get outside and do more.”
“We were anchored here for the kids. Now our youngest daughter is going to be out of school — she's going to go to nursing school — she'll be taken care of." “And we're ready to do a lot more.”
“We’re not going to be holed up in Wasilla, Alaska, the rest of our life..."
Palin and her husband, Todd Palin, said they have lived in Wasilla since they first met in high school. But both said they think now is time for a change.
“He's more driven then I am to bust out and get some things done..."
As for where they’ll end up, her husband said: “If you see sea planes flying around Arizona or New Mexico you'll know who it is.”
The politician also offered some words of advice to her Republican colleagues.
“They're in power. They've got the House, the Senate, they have the Administration and yet they're acting like victims and they're always on defense,” she said. “That's not what the supporters of the platform expect.”
“We expect to be on offense in order to clean things up — drain that swamp — get government back on our side and get it off our backs and quit playing victim all the time!”
“You're not going to win a ballgame only playing defense,” she added.

The only thing Obama actually had going for him was that he was well spoken.
As much as I loved Sarah Palin I couldn’t listen to her for long without whincing from the screechy voice. It’s nothing many haven’t commented on over the years.
I say Michigan- UP North, it’s like God’s country. Lake in the Clouds, Porcupine Mountains, Copper Harbor, the trail of trees tour in the fall.
Except it’s....Michigan. And I doubt she is into playing euchre 24/7.
I am sure Sarah will see your excellent advice. :)
If I were to move somewhere warm, I would want to be in a place like Florida.

I'm thinking that Todd's serious accident made him re-evaluate the things he wants to do and accomplish. God Bless Sarah and Todd, and may they find happiness, and satisfaction wherever they choose to live. Would love to see Sarah run for office again.

Idaho is what came to my mind as a good fit - Sarah was born there, and college too iirc.
Except if they want bigger and better things to do - I’m not sure Idaho is the place.

I am guessing a senate run....The McCain political machine did a real number on her viability as a presidential candidate. but I can see it happening in 12 years. but first she has to repair the damage.

All I’m saying is if you want real fishing, Idaho is where it happens, not in a padded chair in a luxury cabin cruiser.

Sea trout, though not true trout, are just as fun to catch and you use much the same gear... waders, fly rod and lure... with herons, bald eagles, osprey and dolphins to keep you company.
