Cleveland gets a break, Tyrod Taylor knocked out of game and forced to play their first overall pick Baker Mayfield. Wow, he looked legit coming off the bench. Great comeback win from the rookie. I still think he's too short but tonight he looked like a beast slinging it downfield on a dime. Congrats, Cleveland. You guys have waited a loooooong time for this one!
Well said Jim
Ughhh... I hate all things LA. Must have been a mental block...
Gimme the Rams, please.
Could Cleveland make the playoffs? It seems to be a weaker division than usual, and once they got that one win, it will definitely give them a boost. If Mayfield can play like that, why not?
I don’t know about the playoffs but I’m happy for Cleveland right now. Their fans have dealt with a lot of ineptitude and losing yet they’ve remained fiercely loyal. They’ve deserved better and I hope they get it. There was a point in that game when they had the lead late in the 4th quarter and they lined up for an extra point. The stadium exploded when they kicked it through. Never ever heard that sort of reaction to and extra point. They reacted to that win like they had just won the Super Bowl! Good for them.

Buffalo at Minnesota 1:00 pm CBS U.S. Bank Stadium Buffalo seems to have become the new whipping-boy of the league since the Browns have moved ever so imperceptively towards respectability. And the Vikings have looked strong (despite the tie against the Packers last week). Vikings.
Cincinnati at Carolina 1:00 pm CBS Bank of America Stadium A good test for the Bungles. Cam and Company at home are pretty tough, and their defense will be the strongest Cincinnati has faced. Panthers.
Denver at Baltimore 1:00 pm CBS M&T Bank Stadium Burned by the Ravens last week. Denver is not exactly an offensive powerhouse, but they do have a superior defense and that will upset Flacco and Company enough for the Broncos to prevail. Oh, Case Keenum will contribute too. Broncos.
Green Bay at Washington 1:00 pm FOX FedEx Field Was high on the Redskins after that first week win over Arizona. Then they played Indy last week.. So much for that! And now Aaron Rodgers and the Pack come to town. They'll leave town with a W. Packers.
Indianapolis at Philadelphia 1:00 pm FOX Lincoln Financial Field Carson Wentz supposedly makes his return this week. Can - will - the defending champs lose two in a row? With this home game? Against a still rebuilding Indy? Nah. Eagles.
New Orleans at Atlanta 1:00 pm FOX Mercedes-Benz Stadium New Orleans is desperate for a win. Though a little less, so is Atlanta. New Orleans narrowly escaped a loss to Cleveland; the Falcons have faced Philly and Carolina back-to-back. I look for Matt Ryan to have a huge day against the inferior NO secondary. Falcons.
N.Y. Giants at Houston 1:00 pm FOX NRG Stadium Tickets Are the G-Men as bad as they showed Sunday night against the Cowboys? You can have the greatest QB and RB and WR in the league, but if you dont have an effective O-line, you dont have buppkes. Maybe they can get that fixed? In six days?! The Texans have not exactly been a house afire either but.... they will get their first win. Texans.
Oakland at Miami 1:00 pm CBS Hard Rock Stadium I never thought I would say this, but I am liking these Dolphins so far. And Oakland.... well, Chuckie's team is having difficulties. Like no pass rush. Dolphins.
San Francisco at Kansas City 1:00 pm FOX Arrowhead Stadium I like where the Niners are headed, But KC is proving to be an offensive juggernaut with the hottest QB in the league. They wont lay an egg for their home opener. Chiefs.
Tennessee at Jacksonville 1:00 pm CBS TIAA Bank Field There's a new sheriff in the AFC, and his name is the Jacksonville Jaguars. After they dismantled the Pats last week, the Jags will really chew up the Titans. Jaguars.
L.A. Chargers at L.A. Rams 4:05 pm CBS Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum While I love Philip Rivers and the Chargers, they dont have enough to overcome the other up-and-coming team in the league, the Rams. Rams.
Chicago at Arizona 4:25 pm FOX State Farm Stadium Did I say the Bills were the worst team in the league?! Well, the Cardinals are not far behind them. Bears.
Dallas at Seattle 4:25 pm FOX CenturyLink Field The Seattle Seahawks. Were they not recently known as the Legion of Doom? How are they 0 -2?! Still, they get a break this week - they get to play the Cowboys. Seahawks.
New England at Detroit 8:20 pm NBC Ford Field The Patriots will be stinging from last week's beat-down by Jacksonville. That's bad news of the Lions. Patriots.
MONDAY, SEP 24, 2018
Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay 8:15 pm ESPN Raymond James Stadium The Steelers are on the verge of falling apart and losing their season. Okay I know they're 0 - 1 - 1 and nowhere nears out of it in the mediocre AFC North but they desperately need a win. If for no other reason than to quiet the locker room fractiousness. But Ryan Fitzpatrick ... you gotta love this NFL veteran journeyman having the best streak of his career. Hope it continues on Sunday. Bucs.
Good luck to everyone!
Interesting weekend for National League
Big's Fightin' Irish over Hold the Wake in the Forest--
Navy over SMU if they don't drown--
Yea, dangit-- I'm saying my Aggies will beat 'Bama! Now everyone down on their knees to pray I am right--
My dear old Pappy's Purple Horney Toads will kick the Teasips until they can't hold shucks--
My and Mean Joe Green's North Texas Iggles (That's the GOOD pronunciation of Iggles!) will make short work of Liberty-
And finally, Big's Kay-Dets will show up against them Sooners; not win, but show up-- Again, if they don't drown--
Oh, goodie! Another wet t-shirt... Saturday!
Prayers gone the other way. Millions of Bama Baptists ask Heaven to let the Tide roll on!
Same as it always has.
Except a few years ago when that young whippersnapper with money fingers, the so-called Johnny Football, whupped us good. We’re still remembering that, grrr !
I dislike Dodgers n StL Cards. One or both will make playoff.
I guess u dislike Cards more
Go Brewers
Go Rockies
“Keep watching your Matlock reruns. “
Keep watching your racist anti-American Negros, Felons, and Liberals. We have lives and don’t sit and watch grown men play games who give us the finger. We go out and play sports ourselves, fatass.
Picking all the home teams.
Cept Pats beat Lions
Niners are my upset special, no picks for no one this week.
IDK, it’s hard not to respect the Cardinals. I probably have more enmity for the Brew Crew. Not keen on the Dodgers at all, them west coast so and sos rub me the wrong way.
Thanks bender..
Gadzooks, Big-- Ain't it your Cheeseheads... that are limpin' down to Deadskinland with Di Fi & Doctor Feelgood-Ford? Your low down Pattycheaters are at the Loinchoppers tonight.
Well, any way-- Your Kay-Dets almost pulled off an upset. That was more than the Midshippers did against my old ex-law school SMUites.
And my Aggies ran right... into a 'Bama buzzsaw!
Even my dear old Pappy's Horney Toads... let me down--
Well, My Boys can recharge my sagging spirits... with a good old fashioned, Tom Landry honoring arsewhippin' of those no count Seathugs!
So, good luck... and may all the teams I pick win!
