Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said on Sunday that the Senate Judiciary Committee should pause its consideration of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh until the committee hears more from the woman who has accused him of sexual assault. “For me, we can’t vote until we hear more,” Flake, who sits on the judiciary committee, told The Washington Post.
Earlier Sunday, Christine Blasey Ford went public with her allegation against Kavanaugh, which dated back to their time in high school. Ford alleges that Kavanaugh pinned her down and groped her, then covered her mouth when she tried to scream. Kavanaugh has flatly denied the allegation.

Flake is a real communists Democrat and never will help the American People that want Trump for change. He is crap and will be happy to see this ignorant fool gone.

I think the vote will go on as scheduled.
Flake is a piece of shit but, luckily, we don’t need him. In the judiciary committee or in the final vote.
You know, we really should have seen this coming. How many times has this tactic been used?
A GOP nominee/candidate seems to be unassailable, cruising for certain victory, and then somehow some woman from decades past makes totally unsubstantiated allegations that can never be proven or disproven, a huge media circus ensues, and the nominee/candidate is wounded, perhaps fatally so.
They almost got Justice Thomas, they sunk Herman Caine, they kept Roy Moore out of the Senate, they tried it against Trump, and now it looks they have kneecapped a brilliant jurist who has been vetted, revetted, scrutinized, interrogated, wash, rinse, repeat... and the ONLY thing that is certain is that if his nomination is defeated, this woman will vanish and never be heard from again.
And those are only the victims I remember off the top of my head.
Flake needs to be hammered on this. All the gloves, all the way off. It’s time to play total hardball here.
Flake, like Ryan and McConnell, are trying their best to throw the midterms to the Ds by suppressing Republican turnout. It won’t work on me, but I’m sure some voters are throwing up their hands in disgust.

A few things to note here:
1) The purpose of this was to DELAY the vote on Kavenaugh until after the election - that way Red State Democrats could easily ‘promise’ to vote to confirm, but then vote against him with basically no penalty.
2) The Republicans didn’t take the bait with the letter, without a name attached to it. Again, the goal was to DELAY the vote until after the election, and then hopefully sink him, and not have enough time to replace him prior to the next Senate being sworn-in in early January (and if a Democrat Senate, then no one to the right of Ginsberg gets a vote to the Supreme Court, for the 2 full years - pretty much the same for the lower courts).
3) She didn’t want to come forward, but was obviously ready to. And that’s understandable - she’s in the ONE PERCENT in California, absolutely loaded with her professor-husband - and has 4 kids to protect.
4) But rules are rules, and had she not come forward, the Dems would have outed her - there was NO WAY they would sit by and watch Kavenaugh win confirmation without a ‘fight’, as they see it. So the kids will have to fend for themselves, but there is a saying from a famous Israeli leader that goes like this: “When Palestinian parents start to love their kids more than they hate Israel, only then will peace be possible.” Similar for here: “When liberals learn to love their kids more than they hate Republicans, only then will they also start to love America.” The privacy and normalcy of life for her 4 kids here have to be sacrificed for a ‘greater cause’, I guess.
5) As far as not being able to recall details, other than one of the ‘attackers’ had to be Kavenaugh - HOW CONVENIENT, much tougher to prove her wrong. For example, if she gave an exact date, she’d be taking a big risk, since it’s possible that Kavenaugh and his family could have been out of the country, and might still have the documentation to prove just that. But no...no risk of that happening if every other ‘detail’ is simply a blur.
6) One question that I would like to see addressed is how she remembers that it had to be KAVENAUGH at the party (assuming it even happened), when they obviously didn’t go to school together, and so likely only met very rarely at that time , unless they did happen to live within a block or so, but I doubt that she remembers where she lived at that time either(remember, she was 15 years old...so not partying with guys much prior - and not with Kavenaugh after, as he was of to college).
So, no surprise. The REAL QUESTION is who else do they have waiting in the wings? Obviously they know that they need multiple hits to put a stop to the vote...I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
There’ll be enough red-state Dems switching sides that he’ll be irrelevant.

I was at Knott's once with my family, laughing as the creatures scared my wife and older children, until one "creature" popped up and startled the crap out of me. Hmmm, maybe I need therapy.
At my age I remember playing "Truth or Dare" game. There was no harm and no lasting foul. Even the girls accepted it if they wanted to play. Accept Dare rather than Truth, you would accept being in a closet in the dark or stand on their head with panties showing or sucking out a raw egg or other stupid harmless childish stuff. This is nothing about nothing.
Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
