A retired Navy admiral who oversaw the raid that killed Usama bin Laden has resigned from a Defense Department advisory board, after criticizing President Trump's decision to revoke a former CIA director's security clearance.
William McRaven, former head of U.S. Special Operations Command, left the Defense Innovation Board (DIB) on Aug. 20, Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said.
That was four days after he wrote in the Washington Post that Trump's actions revoking former CIA Director John Brennan's security clearance "embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation."
McRaven's op-ed carried the headline, "Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President."

That this is how he sees this event shows him as simply another inside-the-Beltway swamp dweller, despite his past service.
Thanks for your service, admiral, enjoy your retirement pay, forget that security clearance. You’ve demonstrated you don’t fully understand the concept of elected citizen leadership, and we don’t want you in government, or close to it. We wish to remain a people with a government, and not become a government with a people, which seems where you would have us go.

One of the problems with allowing these guys to keep their clearances after they are gone, they just make the Military Industrial Complex that much more left wing. And they remain involved in bending policy and narrative.
On an ideological level, if it is the principles of individual responsibility and individual moral boundaries and faith which are fundamental to the principles of Liberty found in our US Constitution, (which have kept us free), how can any person who espouses the elimination of the very morality necessary for the preservation of our Liberty be called a patriot?
These are precisely the ones who truly are a threat to our way of life.
The potential is for these to be the very ones to create an American “SS”.
