So if someone waited until today that would make them what ?
A double idiot ?
I once counted the tp rolls in grandmas house - 640.
= = = = = = = = = = =
Not all that long ago a TV ‘personality’ (Louis Allen ABC WashDC??) casually made a remark of a looming TP shortage.
After a couple of prompts, it was virtually impossible to find a roll of TP in the general area of his broadcasts and I suppose word spread to make the ‘circle of fools’ larger.
So, technically he was 100% correct, there WAS a TP shortage which should have been ‘laid at his feet’.
But before people sued over a hangnail, everyone got a good laugh at seeing how gullible people were. AND this was before the masses thought someone ‘owed them an existence’.
The original D&S recipe calls for ginger beer. I’ve never in my life seen ginger beer in any store. Is ginger ale an acceptable substitute?
That is EXACTLY the stove I posted about, I just don’t have a picture. Folded, it takes very little room, even with a couple of the small gas bottles, and is ready instantly when needed. FWIW when carefully turned on then OFF when done, the propane containers last a suprisingly long time.
I started the boating season with THREE, and never had to start using that last one.
Olde saying, “You really don’t need one of these....until the day you REALLY, REALLY need one.” No joke.
Well, a certain sub-culture is what I note; not all Americans. The white faces were mostly PO-lice.
I’m so blessed to have indoor plumbing. I took a bunch of empty water bottles and filled them up via the faucet in my home.
Amazing that so many folks nowadays have to depend on h2o from an external source.
ONLY 640!!!
What does She consider to be the Inventory Reorder Quanity Level ?
638 spare and 1 in each Bathroom ?
Ill trade Her a new box of 9x19mm FMJ for 100 rolls.🚽
And I thought that I was a Packrat.
Maybe, but NOT the one in Durham, NC!
I remember after Ike, there was someone on TV complaining about McDonald’s being closed so she couldn’t feed her kids.
We always have supplies. It’s a no-brainer on the coasts.
“Atlanta’s going to be New Orleans once the rain hits ...”
Those idiots would evacuate to Stone Mountain then figure out a way to drown up there.
Charlotte running out of gas as well.
I have 2 cars full and a truck half full. I will sleep in them if the power goes out. I will hit the Publix later.
I don’t need anything really. What we are dealing with is the influx of folks from the coast.
My bet is if they are open they would have some as people are gebderally stupid when emergency come on them. Things kuje buying a bunch of frozen food, lots of can goods but don’t own a manual can opener and so on and so on....
Yep. We always have tons of rice too because hubby likes white rice.
Well, dang, I didn’t know they had Sheetz in PA. Thought it was just an NC thing! Haha. no, actually we have had quite a few Sheetz stores popped up around NC in the past 5 or 6 years. Haven’t seen a Wawa though...
I have a tp stash but it’s small. Just enough to get through an emergency. About 2 wks.
That's Durham.
I always thought that CO was a danger and so camping stoves shouldnt e used in enclosed spaces.
Ahhhh the old perculating coffee pot. I hate Keurig
I want to get the concession for dehydrated water or even better just good old Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) ..... I know it will sell to crowds like that. Best thing you can buy for a hurricane this big is insurance and a plane ticket to a nice B&B IN the midwest for a few weeks......
