Earth is,
spinning (at the Equator) ~ 1,037 mph
orbiting the Sun ~ 67,000 mph, or ~ 18.6 miles/sec
Solar System orbiting the center of our Milky Way galaxy ~ 448,000 mph, or ~ 125 miles/sec

What’s the difference between a volkswagen?
Faster than a Yugo.
Proving once again, speed does not kill.
Monty Python told us this years ago!
Just remember that you’re standing on a planet that’s evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour.
It’s orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it’s reckoned,
The sun that is the source of all our power.
Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.

And that friends is another reason why AGW is BS.
?
This is all wrong. Everything in the universe is revolving around me. I’m not moving at all, unless I head to a Starbucks to complain about Trump.
Sincerely,
A Millennial Snowflake.
I’m dizzy now.
Interestingly, the ancients considered this as proof of the Earth centered universe. The parallax shift can only be seen with a telescope. Since they couldn't see the parallax the Earth must be at the center.
Really really...as in really really fast.
Re: our planet....and other stuff:
“It’s a small world...but I wouldn’t want to paint it” (h/t Steven Wright)
OK, so what’s the speed of dark?
How do you tell when you’re out of invisible ink?
All those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand.
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is
research.
So if I fly in the opposite direction at 1,037mph, will time stand still for me? How about if I go faster?
If we are not careful Guam could fly off the globe and soar out into space?
Hahahahahah!
It is a partial comparison that appears at first glance to be a complete question.
the correct question is, “How fast is the earth moving relative to...”
