Republican Is the New Punk
Street artist Sabo may just be some guy who lives in some dump, but he is taking on and taking down the likes of Jimmy Kimmel and Meryl Streep Los Angeles
Its not much to look at from the outside, a dingy apartment building in a downwardly mobile stretch of burglar bars, psychics, and coin laundries. When asked the name of the neighborhood, one inhabitant classifies it as no place in the middle of every place.
Its not much better on the inside. The guy I have come to see answers the door of his cheerless one-bedroom shirtless, in camo shorts and Chucks, while pulling on a white polo in order to appear less feral. Hes not a down-on-his-luck porn producer, though he used to work in the industry. Hes not some middle-aged gangbanger, though he could pass for one: solidly built with his name tattooed on his knuckles and a branding-iron mark singed into his chest. He is Sabo, Americas preeminent right-wing guerrilla street artist.

“theres a tattered Koran, which serves as his doorstop. Its missing pages, since hes used a few when out of toilet paper.”

Great article! Worth the read, and the site visit.
Too bad it’s by a neverTrumper high upon his moral horse. 10 to 1 says if you find out who Matt Labash’s favorite three republican congressmen are, at least two of them have become millionaires on a congressman’s salary. Squeaky clean I tell ya.
Burglar bars?
Bars where burglars hang out when they’re not burgleing?
Well...it is California.
Hope the writer meant biker bars.
OK, what is "DOU"?
I searched for it and nothing seems to make sense with Che.
For later.
L
DOUChe...
bars in the windows of probably every building
Republican was the ‘70s punk, too, idiot ‘90’s posers like Green Day notwithstanding.
The ethos of punk was “leave me the f*** alone.” Punk was even musically conservative, a return to three-chord ‘50’s songs, just noisier.
No-one associated punk with Republicans because it was pre-Reagan; the Republican party wasn’t conservative in the sense of being classically liberal. It was more associated with Wall Street than Main Street.
Gee, such an edgy and risky thing to say. Stupid Neocons latching onto something about a year-and-a-half late.
People who actually had a clue figured this out a long, long time ago.

Trouble is, the Weekly Standard will always just be lame.
Bill Kristol & Co can f off.
LOL! That’s it!
Mmmm no. Old punk, and old Republican. No. Not even close.
CONSERVATIVE is the new punk...
Great article, thanks for posting it.
