Update – At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Observer received a statement attributed to an Emirates spokesperson which reads as follows:
Emirates can confirm that all passengers have disembarked from flight EK203. All passengers were screened by the local health authorities prior to disembarkation, and three passengers and seven crew members were transferred to the hospital for further medical care and evaluation.
Nine passengers underwent additional medical screening at the site near the aircraft and were released afterwards. The rest of the passengers were allowed to leave and clear customs. Our crew and on-ground staff extended our full cooperation to the authorities during the on-board screenings, and the aircraft has now been handed back to Emirates.

True that,.. only one hundred exposed and then sent on their way.
But don't fret, the CDC has an address list as to where they were going, and will follow up in a week or so,
which will give any communicable disease/ influenza a week head start on contaminating the rest of the nation.
Then, and only then, will they have the justification for additional funding to control this communicable disease/ influenza.
Hopefully we will learn that all the passengers were temporarily exposed to toxic air fumes, and not influenza.
Well, maybe it’s time to do my winter preps a little early.
That way if there’s an early flu outbreak, I can hunker down and avoid going out in public for a few weeks.
Probably not a bad idea. It looks like another plane with sick passengers were met by the CDC/ambulances at the Phili airport today. This plane came in from Europe.
