Who are you again?
My brain must have Windows for an OS.....................
Intelligent people are more forgetful than those with average intelligence.
This being true, I have something important to tell you. And I’ll think of it in a minute. It’ll come to me. I knew it a minute ago.
I'd like to add one thing though; dumb old people were dumb when they were younger, so age shouldn't be blamed for that "dumbness"!
People are supposed to gain knowledge, throughout their lives; however, sadly, not everyone does.
I’ve always made this analogy. Why else would I be able to remember a zillion lyrics to a million songs I learned without effort in my youth, early 20s, and 30s and start to struggle to remember new lyrics as I advanced in age? I can sing a song word for word that I haven’t heard in 50+ years, but learning one new song is a week-long effort (and I do mean effort) at my advanced age. Too bad we can’t add space to our memory as computers can.
Been There, Done Thator Did I?
A big LOL on this one!
A large glass of Burgundy helps me to defrag. Takes about an hour. Then when I wake up, my mind is clear as a bell.
Well, almost.
"Really? What was the name of the course?"
"Ummm.... you know that flower? The red one, with the thorny stem?"
"A rose?"
"Yes! A rose!.... HEY ROSE! WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THAT COURSE I TOOK?"
My brain is an 8088 CPU running DOS 6.2. My memory is a 10MB hard drive that has not been defragged in 70 years. My short-term memory is a 180k 5-1/4” floppy.
I can’t find stuff in my memory because all my file names are 8 characters, max.
“Now what does this file named “gzbzks1A.doc” contain?”
I’m not buying it. I’m old and I’m slow and....
oh, what was my point...?
at 67, I see C.R.S. creeping in.
C.R.S. ? Can’t Remember Stuff
