American denim giant Levi Strauss & Co. announced Tuesday that it is launching a series of new initiatives to benefit groups working to prevent gun violence.
Levi Strauss CEO and President Chip Bergh wrote it Fortune on Tuesday that the company simply cannot stand by silently when it comes to issues that threaten the very fabric of the communities where we live and work.
You may wonder why a company that doesnt manufacture or sell guns is wading into this issue, but for us, its simple, Bergh wrote. Americans shouldnt have to live in fear of gun violence. Its an issue that affects all of us all generations and all walks of life.

thanks for the link. 501s today are not the 501s from back in the day. time to try a pair of dg..
Long ago Levi’s actually was a durable quality product.. it became overpriced crap long long ago.... Doesn’t last any longer than Wal Mart store brands anymore... but insanely overpriced
Wrangler seems to be reasonably durable for the price...
I have not bought Levis since the first time they came out as antis. Duluth Trading or Arborist since then
FWIW, Wranglers are sewn in Panama and Costa Rica.
Strange - all of these iconic brands committing suicide today.
Just came back from the Ellensburg Rodeo (one of the big four). All Wrangler, and man do they do a good job with their brand. From east of the Cascades to West of the Appalachias I would imagine its all Wrangler.
Wrangler and Lee for me.

There are more legal guns than people in the US... with probably TRILLIONS of rounds of AMMO...
If Legal Gun owners were the problem, you’d know it.. dumbasses...
Enjoy watching your sales disappear
Same Here!
Wrangler just fit better too
I havent bought Levis for more than 20 years because the family has heavily supported Handgun Control, Inc. and successor/related organizations. This includes Dockers, by the way.
More people live in fear of a tyrannical government than “gun violence”.
I will never buy another pair of Levis. I can’t just stand by and let some corporate morons attack my God given rights.
Didn’t read all the way through but I’m assuming they’re NOT in favor of going after games and criminals, or letting more of us CCW?
Jeans, feh. Everyone now wears khakis.
Can you stand by broke?
Bummer. It’s so stupid when corporations dip their wick into politics. They know they will get a debilitating STD disease losing money for themselves and their stock holders. Really stupid but it sounds like the unfortunate reality we live in now.
Soon we will have to check the approved list of products to buy because so many corps have gotten this leftist venereal disease.
Just today; no more Nike or Levi’s. Yesterday; Dick’s and the Red Hen. Someone should start a list and make a webpage so this is all easily accessible.
I’d boycott them but I never buy their jeans anyway. However, I will definitely encourage others to do so.
I prefer Wranglers to Levi’s
Now there is no going back to even consider that other brand
Decisions have consequences, and I will do the same for any vendor who supports the other side
