Javion Hill, 35, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, says he took several photos of the object during a storm on the night of Aug. 18, as he drove on U.S. 74 southwest of Charlotte.
The images feature something square hovering above the treeline, with its edges fringed in lights....
"I was on my way home with my wife on the speaker phone, and it looked like there was a tornado coming, so I was trying to take a picture of the clouds for my wife...But then I saw something that wasn't normal and I was, like: 'Oh my god, what is that?'..."
Hill says he pulled over at the next exit to try and get video, but the aircraft had vanished. A heavy rain followed instantly, he said.
North Carolina is in the top 10 among the 50 states when it comes to alleged UFO sightings, according to the National UFO Reporting Center in Davenport in Washington state.
The state has had 7,570 reported UFO sightings since 1940...
Hill says it's possible what he saw was a military craft. Conspiracy theorists maintain many UFO sightings in the region are actually an experimental military spacecraft known as the TR-3B, an anti-gravity craft that hovers....

I remember that one.
Was that the same or a different one where a man’s dog was mauled by some kind of monster while out hiking? That one was funny, too.
A mysterious square aircraft hovering in night sky is probably just aliens goofing around, nothing to worry about, happens all the time in legalized pot states.
I listened to part of it awhile ago. The guy talks about getting off the trail, how he likes to go up into the Cascades and just wander off, stop and look at the wild life - the squirrels and the rabbits and raccoons.
After listening to it the second time and hearing that part I was pretty disappointed. When I first heard the story it was under the realm of “Fake, but hmm, you never know.”
Now I know it is fake. I do a lot of work in the Cascades - once in a VERY rare while you might see a squirrel. I can't recall every seeing a rabbit, and a raccoon?! Not during the day time - anywhere! (Unless they have rabies). The Cascade forests do not have much in the way of small animals.
Like I tell my kids “You know this Zombie show is so fake. No way they would still have decent gas for their trucks six years later!”
I’m confused - there was an alien-in-the-freezer story, too.
Anyhow, the bigfoot one reminded me of ‘The Creature in Ice’. I saw this at a shopping mall around 1970; I remember it smelled like vomit, and I didn’t know if that was another little ‘touch’ added for effect, or if someone had gotten sick looking at it - LOL!:

The alien was a cop??
No you’re right. It was an alien (in the Cascade Mountains) that killed the guy’s dog and he “killed” the alien and put it in his freezer. But then the alien wasn’t killed, just knocked out. IIRC the story ends with a bunch of black suv’s loading the alien and the freezer up and whisking it away.
I seem to recall seeing that monster in the ice thing too. I grew up in Minnesota in the 70’s. Later on I recall seeing the remains of a baby mammoth from Siberia on display - and advertised as such.
Chuckle!
Look at the toll booth to the left of the highway.
It is a reflection of hose lights
Those dang hose lights. Get you ever time.
That sounds like it
Does look like the edge of a smartphone.
“need radar return or this is a hoax”
Based on recently declassified reports, plenty of experienced military pilots have seen such things in the sky with zero or strange radar returns. Often times several testifying to seeing the same thing.

There are no Toll Roads in the Charlotte, NC area- Yet...
US-74 is a US Highway doesn’t have a Toll.
They are trying to make IH-77 a Toll Road as fast a they can though.
I saw a UFO once. I’m unsure of what was. It looked like 6 or 7 stories of a bombed out building just hanging there in the sky. The weather was clear, I pointed it out to several people who also couldn’t make it out, then our shuttle to the metro station arrived and we resumed our commute back to the ‘burbs.
It wasn’t an aircraft, it didn’t move, and it wasn’t suspended. It was unidentifiable.
Then there was the incident one evening at Broyhill park in 1959, my sister and I saw the lights overhead gyrating in and out of a cloud at dusk... but I was too young to make a detailed observation. My sister remembers that as well.
I don’t arbitrarily discount sightings and in the extreme, have even wondered about parallel time lines, other dimensions etc... even organic dopamine secretions, or satanic manifestations. It is something that comes to mind occasionally after reading articles or hearing other people who have observed the unidentifiable as well.
