America is moving towards an oligarchical Socialism

Where do we go after Trump? This question becomes more pertinent as the soap opera administration seeks its own dramatic demise. Yet before they can seize power from the president and his now subservient party, the Democrats need to agree on what will replace Trumpism. Conventional wisdom implies an endless battle between pragmatic, corporate Clintonites on one side, and Democratic socialists of the Bernie brand. Yet this conflict could resolve itself in a new, innovative approach that could be best described as oligarchal socialism. Oligarchal socialism allows for the current, ever-growing concentration of wealth and power in a few hands — notably tech and financial moguls — while seeking ways to ameliorate the reality of growing poverty, slowing social mobility and indebtedness. This will be achieved not by breaking up or targeting the oligarchs, which they would fight to the bitter end, but through the massive increase in state taxpayer support.

I see ugly civil war in our future. Very ugly

There is going to be a fight, let’s get it started and over with.

You're a moron. No rational person WANTS a civil war. Further, this is EXACTLY what the Left wants... either they take control, or they cause the nation to destroy itself. Either way, the America-haters win, and Old America is in ruins. They are desperate to make sure that foolish people only see those two possible paths. Apparently, it is working.

We have to win, and preferably WITHOUT tens of millions of dead Americans (and even more among the anti-American Hippies), and a ruined economy, and a decade-plus of painful "healing". Anything else gives the Enemy a massive victory.

Execution is still the right response. It might even help us get over our squeamish response to evil predators being punished. But you’re right, it won’t be happening in the near future.

A self-selected and self-perpetuating “elite” ruling over a mass of impoverished, dependent serfs has been the Democrat economic model for decades. Republican Party Reptiles like the Bushes and the recently buried John McCain have been enthusiastic fellow-travelers. The game is rigged along these lines:
1) Elite controls overwhelming percentage of wealth and earnings, derived in great part from “globalism” (Western technology transfer to the third-world, used to exploit cheap labor, destroying Western manufacturing base and jobs).
2) Derive 90% of tax revenues from “the rich”, removing the “interest” middle/lower income taxpayers would have in government. No skin in game, no care.
3) Kill the middle class, which is a rival for power.
4) Welfare for the dependent masses.

IOW, everything Trump is trying to reverse. The elite/media complex sees him as an existential threat.

The curious thing is why leftists think this will end well for themselves. Socialism is just a form of slavery, where everyone has part ownership of everyone else — except the elite, who help by ruling the rest. Tragedy of the commons writ large. Gulag coming up.

You're a moron.

Everything else you said was spot on, except for the above comment. Just like the Federal agent down in Florida several years ago who in a road rage incident went after an old man who cut him off who was going to dialysis. Read what happened to him. These liberal leftists ARE going to start something that they can not finish. The believe themselves to be invincible.

If trump loses, it will be war.

Millions will die.

We almost had this if Hillary won. Nukes would have been popping off within a month.

This swamp draining thing,... it can’t happen fast enough. Like the warming alarmists think.. “We are beyond a point of complete recovery”

The next democratic nominee MUST be more of a communist than both Hillary and Bernie - They must be the most corrupt, most criminal person we have ever experienced in order to get the nod

And the democrats will bring their vote cheating a-game. Even with a Republican win after Trump, who is left that can possibly live up to what Trump has done and is doing ? The man has been the most honest, the most helpful and most american candidate seen in the past almost 100 years !

I truly worry about the country when Trump takes his bow. I do.

The most powerful force in all levels of government (excluding, of course, the military) is a "branch" that didn't even exist a century ago --- the unelected, unaccountable "administrative" branch.

Seriously. You can call the President or any elected member of Congress or any USSC justice and even your local mayor just about any name in the book ... but don't try that with an IRS office administrator or even your local zoning commissioner!

While I don’t know what the future brings I do know that I was born into this world a free American, and that’s how I intend to leave it into the next one.

It is time to step out of the old paradigm and realize that things have changed and we need to change with it. We need to start raising their taxes. The gang of 8 is probably the most important event in my life to shakeup my existing view of the world.

More like, we need to raise the EFFECTIVE taxes on the rich, by eliminating the loopholes they use to evade the taxes that are imposed on the rest of us.

Start by eliminating tax exemption of non-profits. The ultra-rich just LOVE to escape inheritance taxes by shifting money into "charitable" foundations. Make investment income from non-profits' endowments fully taxable. Eliminate the entire rationale for the ultra-wealthy creating their tax-free foundations.

The one thing the statists of all stripes fear is mass civil disobedience, This does not mean non-violent protest it means enough people being willing to fill the streets to strangle government activities or enough people blocking a street so that an IRS center or a DHS facility can be completely wrecked by thousands of people. The rentacop states servitors will not likely resist a lot but the state can mobilize forces that can fight back hard and they have the courts and all their electronic spy aids. However, the secret is that the state is helpless against mass civil disobedience. People have to be willing to put their lives on the line but it will work.

“Flat Tax for everyone. No deductions”

Then the GOP oligarchs would have everything they wanted and would have no reason to give us anything that is conservative. They would just start spending more money since they do not have to pay so much. This is a dead end for us and we need to understand that. I am afraid that it is time for a whole new understanding about what is going on. Tax cuts for wealthy should only be on our say so and that would involve securing the border which is priority above everything else. If we do not win there we will lose everything. As far as the Democrat elite who are the real elite we should make them live up to there own ideas and bleed them against the wall. They live in high cost areas we should make sure that taxes make them even more high cost.
