No, I didn’t understand that.

Ferals do not have long lives and when 4 kittens showed up at my door I had no control over how two were hit by cars, one showed up dying of some illness (and was euthanized against my will by the local clinic that I took her to) and one survives to live off the only food she gets at my hand. You cannot handle wild cats like you do house cats. We were very sad to see those 3 cats die; we’re happy one survived.

Only an extremely wealthy society like the United States can afford the luxury of expending so many resources on non-productive animals.

We are wealthy. I do not begrudge others who wish to expend their resources in such fashion.

It breaks my heart to read stories like this. These kittens will have a good life but they were very lucky. What kind of person throws tiny kittens into a dumpster? Take them to a shelter! It’s not that tough.
