Headless Body Found in Fish Tank Amid Search for Missing San Francisco Man

Authorities searching for a missing 65-year-old man found human remains inside a fish tank in his San Francisco home, police announced Tuesday.

A relative of Brian Egg called authorities and reported him missing on Aug. 7, sparking the initial investigation, according to a San Francisco Police Department news release.

About a week later, on Aug. 15, homicide investigators went to Egg’s residence in the 200 block of Clara Street, in the city’s South of Market neighborhood.

When they searched inside, they discovered a human torso in a fish tank, according to Bay Area television station KNTV.

Neighbor Scott Free told the San Francisco Chronicle he first suspected something was wrong back in June, when he stopped seeing Egg outside his home.

The following month, Free became suspicious after two strangers answered Egg’s door, prompting him to contact police to perform a welfare check on his neighbor. Officers did visit the home, but were told by the two men that Egg was away on vacation, according to the newspaper.

On Aug. 14, Free again called police after he spotted a private crime-scene cleanup crew outside the home, the Chronicle reported.

Back in 1991, my ex shot her boyfriend point blank 5 times in my kitchen with my S&W Model 66, .357 Mag. For good measure, she also shot and killed my new fridge.

Did you get your revolver back?

I had thrown her out prior to this, but I let her come by to visit the kids. She never brought trouble before. They didn’t charge her. She said it was self defense. I didn’t and still don’t believe that. All my kids are grown and not one of them will have anything to do with her.

Heck, if I’d shot her when I first wanted, I’d have been out by now.

If there is enough crime in an area I can see a restoration company specializing in it. But I am going to assume it was a restoration company that was regularly used for crime scene and bio-incident cleanup.

Had two instances where we needed a restoration company after a bio incident.

In one case a particular company merely did a carpet cleaning. Ended up having to remove the carpet So we just removed ALL the carpet and put down laminate floors.

The other case, a different company, different residence, came in and sloppily cut a large chunk of the nice oak flooring out. They were expecting to get some replacement work from a related company to repair the floor. They could have easily sanded the oak floor and refinished it. Small room. We replaced the floor for the homeowner for not much more than it cost them to have the floor destroyed.

Sad.

Even a professional murder mystery writer who fantasizes in this sort of thing couldn't envision this. They come up with some pretty weird and unique murder situations, but nothing on this level.

You can bet Rod Serling is spinning in his grave. Mr. Serling would have had a field day with this one. He was famous for his Twilight Zone intros which went something like this: "A ordinary man, Mr. Egg, living in an ordinary house on Clara street in San Francisco's south Market neighborhood, a headless human torso in a fish tank, a concerned neighbor, Scott Free, who hasn't seen Mr. Egg lately, and two strangers who answer the door to explain Mr. Egg is on vacation. Yes, it appears Mr. Egg has taken a vacation and has not returned yet, or maybe he has decided to take the vacation of a lifetime, somewhere in the Twilight Zone." (all while Stranger in the Night music is softly playing and the crime scene cleanup crew is busy tidying up the mess in the background).

Unbelievable even by west coast standards. You can't make this crap up. Somebody is yanking somebody's chain here folks.
