Police are searching for a mystery woman - wearing what looked like broken wrist restraints - who was filmed ringing a doorbell in Texas.
The night-caller, apparently barefoot and semi-clothed, was captured on a surveillance camera approaching a home in Montgomery County.
By the time the householder answered, she was gone. The resident reviewed the security footage and sent it to police.
Montgomery County Sheriff is looking into the "suspicious incident".

Nope dont let your imagination run wild, Kids
exactly! soring for the more expensive restraints, next time! :)
At the BBC site, there is a clear picture where both wrists are shown, and both wrists have the same type of cuff on them.
What exactly does that mean?
Ping
A similar ruse with females as bait and men behind the corner has been used recently in N. Texas (Ft. Worth area).
My wife commented if she had been running in fear from deathly peril that the white shirt wouldn't stay white long but sweaty and her long hair would definitely not have that just brushed look. Mixed feelings, but hope it was a ruse.
I hope she wasn’t a kidnapping victim, who ALMOST got away. Lord, have mercy!
If they never caught the bell ringer how did they know who it was ?
Kids screwing with you old timers
They dont know who it was, despite numerous security camera captures and PD PSAs with his image on it.
Otherwise, he would have been arrested.
Yes; when I first saw it on the small screen, there seemed to be something with some heft hanging from the right-hand one. When I saw it later on the big TV on local news, it didn’t seem so.
According to the story, she doesn’t seem to have waited long enough for people to answer their doors.
At least by the way she is walking, she doesn’t seem impaired...
Strange story.
We just had one of those in a really good neighborhood here in town. Woman rings the doorbell, someone cracks the door, woman asked if they had a gas can, and then 2 thugs in hoodies with guns come around the corner, crash through the door and hold the people in the home hostage while they steal everything they want. All caught on a Ring doorbell.
Motto: never open your door to a stranger even if it is a woman.
Many of the human traffickers are from very poor and corrupt countries. Eventually, they’ll probably start snatching older women from sidewalks, while they’re walking their dogs (easy targets).
I always answer my door with a loaded pistol in my hand.
If I dont recognize who it is on my security camera before hand, of course.
We put a wrought iron gate across our courtyard entrance years ago. They can’t get to our front door now. lol
Since we enclosed it, it has been so peaceful. There is a doorbell on it but I guess all the tree guys, housekeepers, etc that walk around leaving cards and ringing doorbells don’t know it’s there.
We are having to put wrought iron fencing on the top of our rear rock wall. They are doing major highway construction and have put in a walking/ bike path. This has already increased traffic in the rear area of the house. Putting spikes on top of it lol.
Documented by the Benbrook Police department....just the pistol, which would be on me anyway, or take the time to grab the 12 gauge coach gun? Hmmmm
..coach gun would be more thorough...might need to rethink where I keep that.
