It takes forever to open, probably because it has too many bells and whistles. Now something called "Tasks" has opened and is blocking my inbox and won't go away no matter how many million times I click on the X. Even turning it off didn't help.
They should also drop all the little suggestions.
Please tell me there's a way to go back to the old version!
“Go0(bbels)gle is evil and spies on you”

If they spy on me they’ll be bored to death.
.
I know, but I’m used to it and it’s hard to learn new tricks. I hate hate hate when things change. I still don’t like their filing system. I think hotmail’s is better. You create a folder and put things into it. All those colored labels are a nuisance.
It is much worse than spying, using google funds the enemy. They hate you and actively censor, de-rank and list conservative sites 10 pages back. By using google you are funding the enemy and giving them data to defeat you. Don’t use any google products or services.
My wife has been screaming bloody murder because of the new G-mail. I’ve now changed ours back to the old version.
Donate to FreeRepublic and get an email address.
I didn't know you can do that. How does that work?
upchuck@freerepublic.com - I like that :)
I’ve been offered one for donating but I’ve always declined, so I don’t know how it works.
Bring back Eudora!
“What posses these companies to fix something that was working perfectly fine?”
Good question. It’s the reason I hold on to my CDs of MS Office 2003 like grim death, and just bought a Windows 7 computer.
I think that one reason is to keep people employed. They have to come up with changes, even if the changes are terrible. And then there’s the spying, and they’re always finding new ways to do that.

me too!!!!
Hang on to it but remember, at some point in time support will run out on that thing.
I opted for Windows 10. It is okay. But I kept my XP machine running, use it for projects, and it is has a much cleaner, crisper operating feel to it.
Actually, your post just prompted me to pick up a refurbished Windows 7 machine. They have decent ones, the price is right.
And those are my computer thoughts for the morning....
I’ve been informed, however, that some of the difference in speed I noticed between my computer and the ones in the computer center of a good hotel I recently stayed at is due to the fact that I run Windows 7 on a computer that is appropriate for it but is slower than the newer ones that support Windows 10, which is faster in its own right as well.
Some of the difference is due to the fact that I use Verizon Broadband Wireless, so that I won’t have any cables coming into my home, and reception can sometimes depend on how many people are using it at one time. And of course on Internet traffic in general. So it’s not ALL the computer and the Windows 7 that make it slower.
