CINCINNATI, Ohio - An Ohio neighborhood is in shock after a woman was killed by her own dog.
Neighbors say her 4-year-old son ran out of the house Wednesday to get help for his mother, who was having a seizure.
When first responders arrived they found the unresponsive woman being attacked by her mixed breed dog.
Police were called in to assist, and when they tried to enter the home, the dog charged.
Officers shot and killed the dog.
The coroner's report said the woman was killed by the dog attack.
Officers said one of the bullets shot at the dog ricocheted off the floor and struck the woman in the stomach, but the coroner said she was already dead.

Inverse relationship between cup size and brain
Unless I see a decent picture of the animal, I don’t take what a reporter says as fact regarding breed - any breed (or much else). For several reasons.
I know for a fact, having seen instances of it, where the reporter is never told the breed by officials, never sees the dog and still claims the dog is a certain breed (obviously a pit - if they don’t know the breed it is always a pit).
Also, these reporters are none too bright.
Sorry, I’ve seen little evidence that these so called journalists would know a Great Dane if it sat on their respective faces.
I am still amazed at how many here hate the dogs so much that they take the word of a reporter they would never trust on anything as the gospel on this subject alone. Or see a picture of a poodle & still go off on Pits. Get a grip.
Eerily reminiscent of TDS. Oh well. Now I will get flamed just for not trusting journalists who lie for a living. How stupid could I be?
If the dog is unlicensed, has already been the subject of complaints, isn’t current on its rabies vax, tends to go nuts when it sees people in uniform...
Lots of reasona...
Pray for the woman’s son. HE now is in need of our prayers.
