Full title.......................Dream on! Steven Tyler demands that Donald Trump stop playing Aerosmith songs at his campaign rallies...............Steven Tyler is trying to tell Donald Trump to 'Dream On' when it comes to using any of his songs.
The Aerosmith singer once again hit out at the president and demanded that he stop using the band's songs at his rallies.
Livin' On The Edge, Aerosmith's 1993 hit, was most recently played before the president's rally at the Charleston Civic Center in West Virginia on Tuesday.
Tyler took to Twitter to express his continued frustration at Trump for using the band's songs.

Rush explained his use of that song in this way: Christie Hynde said her Parents are Republicans, so she wasnt going to complain about him using the song.
Dude looks like a lady.
I think that he agreed to make a donation to some charity of their choosing as a form of payment. That song is probably heard by more people than any other song in their repertory.
Even if Tyler wasn’t within his rights to request Trump cease and desist, why would Trump want to keep using a song when the songwriter doesn’t want him to?
Hahahaha! That was a good song! Rolling Stones fav band then Aerosmith. Their first album was the best.
My guess? Hes trolling , as he always does.
Yep...they mouth off and I usually won’t listen or watch their movies. Rolling Stones is my fav band. Keith Richards was on a talk show and started to go off about Trump. I changed the channel.
;)
And what benefit does he get from this trolling?
It's incredible.
These self-absorbed so-called "entertainers" can't grasp that they sink or swim depending upon those that consume their product, like any other business.
Imagine Geico stating publicly they don't like Republicans.
Add the actor Michael Shannon ("Waco") to the list of idiots, trashing the president just yesterday.
I used to enjoy his work.
Now he can go straight to hell. .
Maybe Trump should make him bake a cake instead. :)
And Rush also pays appropriate the entity for the privilege of using Hynde’s tune.
Some artists cede ‘ownership’ of their songs through choice or bad business deals, leaving them with little beyond bitching rights if they don’t like how their songs are used.
If President Trump’s campaign is paying to use these songs, Tyler better watch it. He could be the next proud recipient of an uncomplimentary Trumpian nickname...
Can you say “LOL”. I knew you could...
Of course, he’s getting royalties for it, and most likely enjoying the wealth. But he’s got to throw a fit for his Rat friends and fans who are complaining.
I don’t know anything about the law, but I am betting that there is some way for him to buy back the rights to his songs if he really wanted Trump to stop.
‘Toys in the Attic’ is a British euphemism for ‘insane’, ‘kooky’, ‘crazy’, etc...............
Spot on. Over dealt with music liscensing before. These “artists” want blanket protection and their involvement with ASCAP/BMI gives them exactly that but at the cost of them losing discretion over who uses it. So yeah Steven, you are getting paid so STFU. Aerosmith, great band when they are all coke heads, Sobersmith was awful. Haven’t bought an album by them since Night in the Ruts. Tyler has gone country western to add more years to his career. I’ll pass....
Way back when I was in radio, the station had to pay BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC fees for the license to play music published/licensed by those three agencies.
If you didn’t pay, and played one of their tunes, you could be fined out the ying-yang for it.
If that still applies, then people who do pay the publishing/performance fees should be able to fine, or sue, the artist for non-compliance with the contract if he/she refuses to let you play their song(s).
Contracts are usually a two-way street.
He can go suck on a big ten inch....record.
That was just his talent. His popularity lives on.
Is his record label still paying roadies so snip samples of his hair so they can be drug tested?
