Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
Trump and Mattis sat at a table and between them were two empty chairs with place marks for the two missing Dems who were not willing to attend or cooperate. Trump emphasized the the Dems were invited but, "as you can see", they continued to hold up the process and were unwilling to meet. Mattis just had a few cursory words and voila - the conference was concluded. MUCH more coverage than the MSM would normally "allow" the POTUS.
This morning's interview push seems like the same tactic. Prior to the broadcast, the reporter just grinned when asked if Trump was going to fire Sessions and said she was not allowed to say. Trump's strategy worked - two of ours took a bullet for the team and so did many in the rest of the nation as the reporter really did make it seem like the interview contained BIG NEWS. And really - it was Trump making an important point in front of as many people as he could - it just wasn't about Sessions. So his reasons for possibly releasing paperwork got extreme levels of first hand coverage in a venue of his choosing he could otherwise not get. I do think this HAD to happen before he could release docs.
It's unfortunate that POTUS has to get out the laser pointer to reach the public but the MSM's betrayal of our country has brought us to this point.

I took on a heavy responsibility that has taken hours a day, for the last month. Hopefully will be finished in a few weeks. Then I can get back to my regular pursuits.
“Spectral evidence”, meaning the kind I can see but you cannot? Isn’t that like the intelligence agencies today, saying so and so did such and such but oh no, I can’t show you any evidence, it’s classified?

Some skeptics might point to Ex Parte Milligan, a civil war era case where the Supreme Court decided that military courts did not have jurisdiction over US citizens if civilian courts were open. Though this may seem damning to Trump’s proposal, Ex Parte Quirin, a 1942 case dealing with Roosevelt’s trial of the German saboteurs, suggests otherwise. In Quirin, the court found that two US citizens could be tried before a military tribunal because they were “in violation of the law of war.”
The court distinguished this case from Milligan by noting that Milligan involved a citizen in Union territory who was conspiring to aid the Confederate forces but had not yet done so, and thus was not associated with the enemy. By contrast, the two citizens in Quirin, “associate[d] themselves with the military arm of an enemy government, and with its aid, guidance, and direction enter[ed] this country bent on hostile acts.” Hence, they were “enemy belligerents within the meaning of the Hague Convention and the law of war.”

Have been using information here including the numerous other sources you have given to fulfill my quest “to red pill” someone(s) every day. It’s funny, my original go to sources for news, Drudge and Breitbart, “almost” feel like MSM to me today. James Comey on his book tour in GB said something to the effect that the Deep State is so deep that it would be impossible in one four year term for a president to eliminate. Even as a 40 year conspiracy theorist, I am truly taken aback how “deep” it is And truly amazed how our Potus keeps putting one foot in front of the other and keeps succeeding. surely one could argue that Rogue agents within our own government colluding with foreign intelligence and other entities to overthrow the constitutionally elected President of the USA constitutes an act of war, but what do I know i’m just reading a larp. The MSM told me, LOL

The Law of War manual defines war variously but describes situations like ours. Does not have to be declared, because some were conducting undeclared war to avoid Geneva conventions so that loophole was closed. Can be between two non-nations (groups) or a state against a group (rebels) etc. Many different ways of defining it so that it comes down to “aggression” or even intent to wage war that exceeds riots or internal “tension.”
