Washington (AFP) - Former CIA directors and another half dozen of America's most senior spies have issued an unprecedented condemnation of President Donald Trump, after his decision to blacklist their colleague John Brennan.
In a statement, ex-CIA bosses appointed by Republican and Democratic presidents -- including Robert Gates, George Tenet, Porter Goss, Leon Panetta and David Petraeus -- denounced Trump's decision to strip Brennan of his security clearance.

I'm a little surprised to see Porter Goss’ name on the list. He was a supposedly conservative congressman at one time representing a solid Republican district.
I am surprised that I'm surprised at anything that happens today.
Goss has been on the rubber-chicken circuit giving little talks for years so anytime a defrocked government official loses his security clearance it is a financial threat to everyone in the club.
Do these folks still have security clearances? If so, why?

A multitude of jobs require Security Clearances. That’s what he meant....no more.
Anyone not directly serving the govt for compensation and without “need to know” status should have their access yanked.

I know he made lots and lots of money when he was working for HSBC and they were caught laundering money for terrorists and the big narco networks. While at the same time, doing lots of work with the clintons.

I think the President has them running scared and in so many directions that they can’t help themselves. They’ve grown so comfortable in their revolving doors and ability to profit off their positions, that they cannot believe what is happening to them.
I’m also of the belief that there are, at least, a few patriots in all these organizations that have been/are funneling information to the President. And, the President knows EVERYTHING. There have been times where I wanted to shove the 4D Chess crap up his ass, only to see that he was right the whole time. There are folks that have good instincts, but damn if you can find someone with instincts as good as his. Sure, there have been some missteps(omarosa...haha), but those folks have done it to themselves and are quickly forgotten about.

Because if they are provided information, they cannot be charged with knowing classified information, as they have a clearance that allows them to hear it/see it/read it. The person providing could just say that they were providing the information to get some opinions/insights from a much more “seasoned intelligence expert”. All bases are covered.

I’m pretty sure that Brennan and most of the other senior officials get regular intelligence briefings. Why do you think he was hired by NBC?
He can’t reveal specific classified info but it’s assumed that he is better informed than other talking heads who don’t get briefed.
Bingo. Every person “protesting” has a direct financial interest in keeping their clearances. Since without access to secret information, their price tags are much lower, it’s that what they are really selling is restricted information. Book’em.

First and foremost. A Security Clearance, be it Confidential, Secret, Top Secret, or even Above Top Secret is a PRIVLEDGE, not a right. So all this complaining by these POS’s is irrelevant.
Second, I cannot talk about those receiving clearances in government service. However, I can talk about clearances issued to those of us that are and were in the Military. I did 22 & 1/2 years active duty nd retired in 1992. (Yes, I’m that old). And yes, I kept my clearance after I left the Military. Because of my job, I am still considered an asset to our great Country and still asked to help. However, what people do not know or understand is that even with this I am check on by DOD to insure that I am in their good graces.
Believe me. a security clearance is no laughing matter. It takes time, work and money to even go through the process of receiving one. In addition, Those with a clearance, are being checked on to insure nothing is wrong. As far as I am concerned (And yes , this is MY OPINION). Brennan should have never had a clearance in the first place and was only given on as an Obama lackey. Remember people, this fat fool Is a card carrying Communist and a Muslim Convert. Hence why he got it from Obama.
The others are known to be Anti-Trump, Lied (some under oath) about current cases being investigated. They are in no way, shape, or form to be able to have any security clearance because of their actions.
How could you not be a Democrat & agree with what Brennan was saying about POTUS?
