Sasquatch pics. The best I have ever seen. Yes, they are fake (to me, anyways), but nicely done. Check it out.

I have read these things, if they exist, have far better hearing and sense of smell than we do. I do not think that if they are real, they would have stayed long enough and close enough for a person to get such a good image of them, both squarely looking into the camera.

“The best I have ever seen.”

Not exactly a high hurdle to make. Every “bigfoot” picture/video is either blocked by something, blurred, taken from a long distance or looks as if it were shot by a person in mid-seizure.

I have heard second-hand stories of other hunters in Texas seeing them. Bowhunters of course, as we normally hunt alone.*

I have put some good hours in the woods of Texas up through Wyoming. I really believe that Sasquatch DOES NOT EXIST.

Even a notable Tom Brown, Jr. and Chuck Adams have said pretty much the same: No evidence.
The great Fred Bear said it was fun to think about, but grizzly and momma moose were the ones to be watching for.

Nah I don’t think they were photo shopped. I think they were taken by someone with an agenda

My father has an entire folder he spent a lifetime building on these phenom. We joked about it on camping trips and around campfires growing up. Later after a divorce separated our parents, we went to the "Kentucky side of the mountain shared with W. Va, and was told stories by the Grandmother of my new sister and brother being picked up by marriage. Maybe the stories were to be expected. We had to park the car after leaving the coal mining roads, the dirt road, and park at the stream before heading up into the hollow. If you've ever been in the Smokies at night or away from all civilization, you can only imagine. Elizabethan English twanged out in their voices, and these new kids in the family were first generation on a track to highschool; it was 2.5 hours one way on the bus to Louisa KY and then return.

The Yeti, the Abominable Snowman, and later Sassi are part of the American Lexicon. Grandma swears that when she was 17 one night outside the barn one of them brushed her arm as she startled it. None of them ever knew one to attack a human; they claimed to have so hair they kept in a used mailing envelope, and claimed to have seen pairings of them numerous times, but always by chance. That night from the cabin-house or home built in the mid-1850s, we and watched 13 deer go across a saddle up thru the moonlite in the hollow. All of them though were firm believers. I do recall that they stated some guy had come thru the mountains in the late 50's, and again early 60's trying to find them and he also recorded these stories.

Of course no trip into the wild would be complete without G-man stories of the FBI and Feds hunting for stills and trying to seek out murders or robbers. One story they told interestingly enough was about a 16 year old girl who fell in love with a 19 year old boy in 1945-46 who had returned from fighting the Japanese. Her family caught him and castrated him, then skinned and hung him from a tree outside his family's home. I was told there were a lot of M1's up in the mountains the boys brought home from the war, and 13 boys in the offending family were hunted down and killed, each left in the same condition near their family home in open view the next morning. They told me over 20 people were killed in this Family-feud. Bet that fued had never a started if'n she loved Sassi.

Love the Smokies. Bestest pal in the world lives in the Nantahala Gorge area. Slept in their screened porch for a week listenin’ to that rain.....need to get back there. Sweetness.

I’ll have to holler at him ‘bout the Sassi.

Thanks for the stories!

Bigfoot isn’t real. If a population of these things existed anywhere in North America (and a breeding population would need to be at least a decent number), you would have had remains/bones of a dead one turn up long before now.

Heck, the remains of human murder victims are sometimes found by accident if their bodies are dumped in the woods, even if the murderer tries to cunningly bury them. But not a single Bigfoot skeleton? In all this time?

There may be still undiscovered animals in remote places, but something this size and in these locations just strains credibility.

Well, who knows. Gorillas were considered mythical until the Victorian Age. And people thought the platypus was a fake even after specimens turned up. (The poor platypus does look fake. What a weirdo.)

One interesting argument for “real” Bigfoot is the distribution of footprint sizes. I read at a couple of sources that someone gathered all the known sizes of footprint castings and graphed them by size.

If the footprints were all concocted you would expect a Gaussian distribution with a single hump at some large size. Instead the distribution showed two humps, which you would normally get from graphing the foot sizes of males and females in a real population.

Of course I can’t vouch for whoever did the graphing, but it’s interesting in any case.
