Acts coincides with many of the New Testament books...that is, the books were written during events describes in Acts. The New Testament isn't linear at all, but very scrambled and interconnected. I guess that makes part of the puzzle fun to unravel.
Looking forward to your further posts. Are you planning to do a background for all of the books of the New Testament?
Yes.
Looking forward to hearing on the rest of the historical background of the New Testament.
Thanks for putting this together and sharing.
You are welcome. Even us Catholics like to learn us some Scripture some time! :)
Just saw your video on why the book of James was written. Good overview and review Bro. I belong to Harvest House in Marion Ky., we are UPCI, and I have never been a church goer, started going to church 11 years ago, and God and the Word has changed my life. I have a personal question and your opinion would be appreciated, I have memorized James, and the style of writing is blunt and as if it were like bullet points or as a summary. Do you think that the book of James is missing a page or more, it ends like it is unfinished, James starts with a greeting, but does not end with a salutation. I personally think James is a letter sent to whomever, carried by traveling evangelists and part of the letter was lost. Just my thoughts, haven’t found anything to back it up, it just seems that James would have added a few words of encouragement or prayers in a salutation. God Bless.
