In light of recent events, methinks it's fair to ask: What's the current status & justification of FR policy re: Alex Jones & InfoWars?

Jim lifted the ban, with caveats. Specifically, no 9-11 nonsense, and perhaps something else.
AJ doesn’t generate much original content beyond his conspiracies du jour. He’s largely a news aggregator much like Drudge and picks ‘controversial’ stories that fit his world view to showcase on his website(s).
Alex Jones does the job the gaslight press used to do.
And for all his flaws he admits when he’s wrong.
You never hear about that though. All you hear are wag-the-dog half-truths.
Even though everything he says, he says on video, they never show you that. They just tell you he said or did something he never said or did and then he sues them and wins but you never hear about that part either.
If they take out Jones, they’ll take us all out. They’re already doing it.
It’s one thing to choose not to give heed to a source.
It’s quite another for that decision to be made for you.
It is the advertisements plastered all over FR that are so distracting. /smile
Never a big Alex Jones fan, but the way he’s been railroaded by lefty social media is just flat out wrong. It’s a taste of things to come if politically correct socially selective censorship is allowed to flourish.
If the Deep State succeeds in silencing Jones, they will not be content stopping there. It WILL BE FR next.

Someone ought to publish a list. The TechGiants are improving their China communist censorship and over time Free Republic will have a different meaning.

I’d say it’s wise to avoid any variety of nut stuff. I can get up to date news on Elvis sightings from Weekly World News.
That’s still a huge meme over at r/The_Donald. Someone will post as a reply to someone else “Bill Clinton is a rapist.” Someone else will immediately reply to that “InfoWars.com”. It’s pretty funny.
I figured he had, but there wasn’t a clear statement outside a comment within a thread starting with an AJ open letter. Not everyone reads everything here.
That was some good fact-based trolling.
