Not guilty.
My grandson loves that show. When he and his sister came over a few weeks ago he logged into his Netflix account and he and I watched, over the week, an entire season.
I’m a big science fiction fan, but this show was painful to watch. To be fair, it was what I notice in a lot of modern TV shows. They are nothing but slick versions 1960’s soap operas. i.e. they string you along.
In one episode, it really did get interesting. A lot of stuff was happening and a breakneck pace and it was cool. Then, as the credits rolled, I said, “I’ll bet that was the last show of the season and they had to wrap it up. Sure enough. ;)
Two things kill these shows for me:
1. They are trying to eat as much time as possible without a lot of plot unfolding. And that is because...
2. They’re making it up as they go along.
I first experienced this phenomenon when my daughter loaned me a DVD box set of the remake of Battlestar Galactica. I got through 3/4 of a season and just got tired of being strung along. I’d rather waste the time reading a book.
Avgeropoulos was booked and released on $50,000 bail,
A man’s bail would be $250,000. So much for equality.
Hear, Hear...definitely only guilty of getting involved with a sissy!
The 100 is a guilty pleasure for me.
I like how no matter how hard they try to overcome their problems, they just keep digging themselves deeper into a hole.
It’s probably already been done but if not, “Octavia com Skaikru” would make an awesome manga comic series.
I enjoyed the remake of Battlestar Galactica, but even as a fan, there were quite a few episodes which seemed to advance only the drama between characters without driving the plot forward.
Over 5 years they did 73 episodes which is quite a bit. I’d like to watch it again, but that’s a lot of material to have to go through. Someone should identify the critical plot episodes and publish that sequence, so people wanting to enjoy the plot can move along without having to view the fluff.
She should be treated like a man in the same circumstances would be treated.
This lady had an argument with her boyfriend and had bail set at $50K. Paul Manafort had his set at $10,000,000.
What is wrong with this picture?

My wife and I got into Suits, but after a few seasons I told her it felt like a soap opera. I googled “Suits” and Soap opera and, whadayaknow, I’m not the only one. One site literally asked the quesiton, “When did suits turn into a soap opera?” The show did redeem itself by season 8, though. Lots of courtroom stuff and little soap opera. They must have been listening. :)
I couldn’t get over that asian chick in Battlestar Galactica that turned out to be a Cyborg. When you look at her complete physiology, as well as her ability to produce offspring, you realize that, for all intents and purposes, the cyborgs had created a fully human being. She was really not a cyborg at all. She was just a human. I could no longer suspend disbelief at that point.
What kind of California soyboy is she hanging with?
It’s like the writers are surprised that the story sold and they’ll be paid for more; “ Wow! This is great!... um, we better write some more and keep it going”.
Equality is just another word nothing left to lose.
...um, we better write some more and keep it going.
Yep. The problem is that they become a bit like the song writers for a hit pop/rock band. They all run their course when the creativity well runs dry. And honestly, sometimes stories end up going down what they call in the west, a box canyon.
I remember the show, Friends. It was actually very well done and it was funny watching all the twenty-somethings get in trouble for their silly, juvenile mistakes. Problem was, as they pushed, and surpassed 30, they could no longer blame the lunacy on youth. It wasn’t funny any more.
As Jordan Peterson said, when applying for a job at 20 years old, having no experience is to be expected. At 20, prospective employers ask, “what the heck have you been doing the last 10 years?!”
But I digress...
