As the son of two working parents, there were plenty of dinnertimes when a bucket of chicken and all the fixins saved the day, Alexander said in a press release. Its been fun to combine my personal love for KFC with my sitcom experience into a new take on the role of Colonel Sanders.
Along with the news, KFC also debuted two of its newest sitcom-themed commercial campaigns starring Alexander, during which he seemingly solves a variety of household problems with buckets of chicken.
In a second 15-second ad, Alexander's "Colonel" comes to the aid of a family in need of a quick, chicken-based meal.
Did someone say KFC has four ways to feed a family of four for only $20 bucks? asks Alexanders Colonel with no discernible accent whatsoever while carrying a comically large tray of chicken into the familys home.

Glad it wasn’t just me. I was checking everything lol.
“What a varied career....architect, marine biologist, ny Yankees exec, fast food mogul ...”
you forgot latex salesman ...
Thank you. Colonel Sanders is one of the great men of American business. Just because the accomplishments are of a different magnitude, Id still put him and Ray Kroc besides Ford, Rockefeller, etc in a hall of fame. The way KFC mocks his
Memory makes my skin crawl
AND he was going to try and work in a hardware store.
At least that’s what he told that woman....
And let us not forget, that while he certainly wasn’t Penske material, he took the smaller office and worked for the other guy. For a day.
He transferred the Penske file to an accordion-style folder!
Supposedly the best tasting fast-food fried chicken (according to critics)is Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which is sold mostly through independent convenience stores and truck stops.
Norm McDonald was the best . . . perfect . . . I was glad to see they stopped having George Hamilton, the Vietnam War dodger, as a spokesman. Remember George got a draft exemption because he was the “sole provider of his mother in her mansion . . . plus he was dating one of the president’s daughters.
Bring back Norm!
Wow, what a wonderful compliment to her! Singin’ in the Rain is one of my all time favorites.
“You guys had a mind meld in the same minute.”
Trekkie?
Yeah she was.
Gads I dislike this guy. He is a giant little Jerk.
And once in charge of the Penskie File...
Reba is a bit of an extrovert. I can see'd be great in musical comedy like that!
George Hamilton, Norm McDonald, Reba, and now Jason have been Colonel Sanders. It’s like a Colonel of the Month.
I don’t know if Reba bombed or she, like others lately, took her turn in the rotation.
Honestly, I get a laugh trying to guess who is behind that Colonel get up.
I think she didn’t last as long as Billy Zane, who was pretty bad.
ya know, the reports are that Harlan Sanders used the n word.
Should we really be eating at KFC?
Actually an American dish from the West Coast.
...importer/exporter...
I guess fancy pants Jane Alexander thought she was too good for Colonel Sanders.
Saw him in the Disney live movie version of “Cinderella” and he did a great job dancing.
