CHEESE!!!!!.............................
The spice must flow.
A dash or two of turmeric and a handful of raisons mixed in with that morning oatmeal = healthy and tasty.
Just now having a severe attack of gout in my knee. Haven’t had one in four or five years. Alleve effect was marginal. I take one turmeric capsule as a supplement. Yesterday I took three, on morning, afternoon, evening. Today pain is decreased, swelling and inflammation decreased as well.
You can also pop a couple of Tumeric pills after a night of drinking and wake up without a hangover.
But how much of it do you need to eat for true health benefits, and how often? A few grams a day, or a couple of pounds a week? Like garlic, it goes with a lot of things but not with everything.
Reputedly good for motion sickness too.
Some folks need to be a bit careful with tumeric (curcumin). If one is on some blood pressure medications, it can magnify the effects of the prescription medicine. So blood pressure should be monitored if tumeric is added (or consult a physician or pharmacist.) It can also slow blood clotting, so it is even more important for those on anti-clotting medications or with clotting disorders to exercise extreme care.
So the idiot that says “its (sic) super safe” is grossly negligent. It can be beneficial to many people, but never trust the snake oil salesmen of the supplement world.
The head nutrionist of the heart hospital around me speaks very high of tumeric.
Once a month, usually, there is a healthy cooking class. It has changed a lot of my views on food and am better for them.
I’ve been a big fan of curry and turmeric for several years now. I played soccer fromt the time I was in first grade through my senior year in college, then spent 10 years on active duty in the army. By the time I hit my late 30s my knees were paying the price and a regular turmeric intake has done wonders for the pain and inflammation. Like all this, moderation is in order as it is also a blood thinner, dangerously so if taken in excess.
This is the one I take every day, and even though I have other health issues, THIS has made a huge difference in my achy knees and back and all over joint pain.
I usually take 4 a day, sometimes 8, depending on flare ups.

Doc told me to avoid turmeric. I’m
on two different meds for extreme
hypertension.
Prior to prescribed medications,
I was taking turmeric supplements
on a regular basis, as I also
suffer from psoriatic arthritis.
It wasn’t working as I had hoped
after reading about turmeric’s
supposed benefits.
Dont eat tumeric if youre on Plavix. Dont do it!!!!!!!
Or not
Hardly a place I go for medical advice
I’ve been taking it for hundreds of years.
Tricky. While adding turmeric to food is nice, it wont prevent or treat cancer the way CURCUMIN in a supplement capsule with PIPERINE (no point in taking curcumin without piperine from black pepper because its proven 20x more effective with it). Dont buy your supplements at cvs or your grocery store.
This is just occurring to them????????
Again, the natural health people have been stating this for YEARS.
Granted there are quacks in that market, but overall, they have been spot on about a number of major health issues afflicting humanity.
Or it couldn't.......try it if your stomach can tolerate it......
