Murphy Brown creator Diane English says she may need to get security protection as she works on the return to CBS of the biting political comedy series.
I might have to have some protection, English told reporters in a scrum after her shows Q&A panel at TCA. Im not kidding. English referenced the scary times in which the show is coming back with original episodes after two decades.
The very first episode, which takes place on November 8, 2016, really sticks our head into the lions mouth, said star Candice Bergen, boasting, This show has no fear of anyone.
These scary times includes a death threat to CNN on-air talent phoned in to C-span by a Trump supporter that Brian Stelter played on his CNN program. New York Times columnist Bret Stephens similarly revealed a threat from someone warning, I dont carry an AR but once we start shooting you f*ckers you arent going to pop off like you do now Stephens warned President Donald Trump will have blood on his hands if his enemy-of-the-people attacks on journalists pushes a supporter to such extreme violence.

It will fail miserably.
“Murphy Brown Creator Diane English Says She May Need Protection As Series Returns To CBS”
Is she going to make Murphy a conservative or something?
Flop
> Candice Bergen, boasting, This show has no fear of anyone. <
Wow. I suppose that means they’ll be doing an episode on the horrors of radical Islam. Perhaps Candice will even burn a copy of the Koran.
And what will we see of Murphy Brown’s son? If they go in real time he will be an adult now.
I hate to wonder, will he be a straight male, or will be be one of the 50+ other “orientations” we are told exist today?
Will the writers of this show be able to resist making him something other than a straight male???
Does she really think that many conservatives will be watching it?

...
In Hollywood she’ll be safe unless she puts on a MAGA hat.
Look at what they keep doing to Trump’s star.
This is just marketing.
This will crater on its own.
More BS from the sudden fake victims.
And please excuse the feral apostrophe.
Excerpt:
Almost exactly 20 years ago, Barbara Dafoe Whitehead wrote a controversial essay for The Atlantic titled Dan Quayle Was Right.
In case youve forgotten (or never knew), let me fill you in on what Quayle was right about.
There once was a popular sitcom called Murphy Brown. The title character, played by Candice Bergen, was a news anchor. The show had its moments, but it was also insufferably pleased with itself and its liberalism. At least until the arrival of the Aaron Sorkin oeuvre (The West Wing, The Newsroom), it set the standard for such things.
Murphy Brown was rich, powerful, and independent. In a 1992 episode, she got pregnant and decided to have the baby, without a husband or, as so many say today, a partner. On May 19, 1992, Vice President Dan Quayle delivered a speech titled Reflections on Urban America. His address was a response to the riots in Los Angeles that month, and he placed a heavy emphasis on the breakdown of the black family sounding a bit like Barack Obama today.

Sadly, there will be many here who will watch this.
Leftists all talk about how scary and racist Trump is. Ive never seen any proof of what they claim, but they keep repeating the lie.
Yall are right. In LA, which I escaped, its dangerous to be a conservative, not the other side.

President Trump wasn’t the first person to say that the press was the enemy of the American people. Democratic pollster Pat Caddell called them out at an AIM conference in 2012.
