The movie runs nearly two hours. It is not only informative, but entertaining as well, and edited well and easy to follow. There is a mix of interviews with real people, including Richard Spencer (who is more of a leftist than a conservative), and re-enactments that are well done as well. The theater I went to was a matinee showing, and they assigned a luxury theater with reclining seats. It's one of those theaters now with espresso and craft beer. I had an Americano and Kit Kat, wife had the unbuttered popcorn (snacks were $14). Tickets were $9.50 each.

Watch carefully! In one of the first scenes when they’re depicting Slavery - there’s a shot of Oprah playing her part in ‘The Color Purple.’ Oh, the irony! I LOVE IT!
My husband saw it this afternoon. We were surprised it was showing in all three theater complexes in our city.
He said it was, like all D’zousa’s movies, excellent. Only a handful in the audience. He especially enjoyed the clips of the broadcasters on election day when they were realizing Hillary wasn’t going to win.

I saw it right there in downtown San Francisco! No protesters even! The content was good but unfortunately the quality of the presentation was I thought not good enough to persuade anyone not already converted. But good for the “choir” nonetheless.

I saw Death of a Nation yesterday.
I liked it, but perhaps not quite as well as Dinesh D’Sousa’s last film, Hillary’s America.
Part of this is that President Trump is in office. We are winning. So, the urgency is not quite as high.
I thought the film was aimed at people in the center, who have been taught big lies all their life. Perhaps the most important lesson was how the left embraced Hitler and Mussolini as “Men of the Left”, until after Hitler attacked the Soviet Union. FDR lauded by Mussolini and Hitler, at different times.
The problem, as noted, is to get open minded people to see the movie.
I wish Dinesh all success.
For its type, the movie was reasonably well done. If this movie could be shown in black churches around the nation, it could make a serious difference.
WE SAW THE MOVIE LAST NIGHT. 11 PEOPLE IN THE THEATER. I THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE MORE. OVERALL IT WAS WELL DONE. THE EXPLANATION OF THE NAZIS ACTUALLY BEING LEFT WING AND THE LEFT TURNING IT AROUND TO MAKE THEM ON THE RIGHT WAS EXCELLENT. I ALSO LIKED THE WAY HE WENT AFTER THE ALT RIGHT GUY AND MADE HIM ADMIT WHAT HE REALLY IS. A LEFTY. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF LEFTIES WENT TO SEE IT WITH AN OPEN MIND BUT THAT WON’T HAPPEN.
It’s not a great Film, with a capital F, and it’s not meant to be. It’s an instructional film. So naturally Rotten Tomatoes would not be rating it well. Plus lots of lefties skew the results.
Richard Spencer: He comes off as exactly what he is, an identitarian, I think he said, and his philosophy is that physical-identity groups are the correct organization of society. He thinks it’s the thing that people will fight for.
It looks at first like a kind of postage-stamp-quilt version of nationalism, but it’s completely wrong, because it is based on physical identity, which includes racial identity, instead of identity based on an idea: freedom for the conquered nations of Africa and for India, for example. And for us, identity based on the founders’ IDEAS. Remember them, Richard? Something that everyone on the planet can share.
But doesn’t the beer sort of disintegrate the KitKat wafer in the mouth? And take away the subtle milk chocolate flavor?
Saw it in Marin Country with 40 or so other people. Thought it was quite powerful. Some overlap with Hillary’s America. Could have done without the solo singing performance of Dinesh’s wife and the Battle Hymn by that particular chorus (I’ve heard better). Dinesh’s daughter did a good job playing Sophie Scholl, the German White Rose martyr. There was applause at the movie’s end and then everyone sat through the credits and applauded again! 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The movie did 2.3 million in 1,000 theatres for the weekend. I saw zero TV marketing for the film. I saw a lot of marketing back in the day for his film Odunga’s America.
Went to see it today, really good at drawing parallels with history and illustrating that Nazis and Antifa thugs are leftists. Also raises the of issue of how countries die when they lose their foundations and way. Go see it. There were only about 6 people there, but it was the first showing of the day (11:05am).
