Woman's warning to pit bull owners after "gentle" dog launched sudden vicious attack which cost her an ARM
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. Yasmin Adam was left lying in a pool of blood after her pet savaged her flesh then chewed on her bone.
Yasmin said she used to allow Sir Hinkles to sleep in her bed every night.
Doctors at Broward General Hospital, Florida, battled to save Yasmin's left arm for three weeks before it was decided that amputation was the only way forward.
She said: "It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life.
"I could see the bone clear as day. Eventually, they amputated it from just above my elbow on December 26.
"I'm just working on getting my right arm functional again. He ripped that arm apart too, but not as badly.
After that he attacked me on and off for nine minutes. The dog ripped all the meat off my lower left arm, and that's gone now.
"I just stopped fighting the dog. I figured I was going to die. He kept trying to pull the bone out of my arm."

With all the guard dog breeds out there why would anyone risk a breed as the pittbull with it’s history...?... I don’t get it.
Sounds like the dog got a strong craving for bones. Owners fault, she should have had some bones on hand from the grocery store.
Can’t we just collect all the pitbulls and airdrop them onto Mecca?
The breed is well known for its savage behavior. The pounds are full of them because their owners become frightened of them or are afraid their will be sued when they attack innocent people like this poor woman. I am so sick of hearing all the explanations.
LoL
Subtlety ....its my nickname
I should have been a Yankee ironically I guess
99% of these people buy the dogs because they are symbols of viciousness.
they want to look tough. Every pitbull owner I’ve ever met wants this image.
Sharpeis are fight dogs too. No one gets them because they don’t look rapper-cool with them.
And the Shar-Pei is an effective fighting dog.
They want to look tough. That’s it. My best friend had 20 of these monsters in his house. And his biker gang.. sorry, “Motorcycle club” had “PIT” written across his vest.
He had the dogs to be cool. Period. End of story.
Since then he’s left all of this behind but it still holds valid.
Pit Bulls do not occur in nature. They are products of artificial selective breeding. Pit Bulls are worthless as service dogs, and as police dogs. They can not be controlled with certainty, and when they snap there is no turning them off. Even their owners and trainers have had to shoot their own dogs in order to stop an attack on an innocent victim.
I’ve had Staffordshire Terriers all my life. One of the most human friendly and loyal dogs there are. I had two older acquaintances who used to fight them. They always told me the reason the breed was so good was that any dogs that ever showed the first sign of aggression towards people was disposed of pretty quickly. Stupid people and gangbangers around here choose mixed breed pits because they are one of the most physically fit breeds there are and intentionally make them mean towards humans. Then when the dog gets in trouble for doing what he/she was taught to do, the irresponsible(often criminal gangbangers) deny having anything to with it. The Staffy’s that run with my hog hunting dogs won’t bother anyone. The Blackmout Cur hunting dogs I have are far more aggressive towards strangers than the Staffy’s.
Supposedly only 5% of dog owners bother to train their animals. Pit bulls specifically are probably far less. Recently I have been clicking on these stories and so far no one who has been attacked has described their animal that suddenly mauls them as ‘well trained.’ I have seen ‘well behaved’ and ‘sweet’ a lot, but it seems like that doesn’t cut it.

Because someone has to balance out all the hate in these insidious hateful anti-dog threads that do nothing for FR but only feed the ego's of the haters. Enjoy America's Dogs. They rock!

The pit attacked a yorkie. It had the yorkie's whole helpless head in its jaws, and was alternatively squeezing the dogie's head and lapping blood. (I do not add or subtract a thing from what I saw).
Folks were trying everything to release the jaws, including a baseball bat. Finally, something worked (might have been the garden hose down its throat.)
The yorkie somehow pulled through, the pit bull was taken by the authorities and erased, and I learned that I really, really do not believe that pit bull owners know what bloodthristy killers resides in the DNA of the alleged dogs they keep as pets.
Doggie bump!
Are these “before” pics?
was walking down the street awhile back- came to a building with an alley- just as i got to corner- a resident in the building walked around the corner and was a few feet from me- his pit bull lunged at me- thankfully the fella was able to control the animal even though it took him by surprise- Had he not cinched up the leash because he was surprised it would not have ended well- of that I am certain- That freakin dog just went mental upon seeing me-
We have a few pit bulls in neighborhood- where kids play, walk, ride bikes- etc- one got loose awhile back=- hate to think about some kid or elderly person working in garden or whatever minding their own business- getting attacked because some maggot thought it was cool to own a demondog- Darn near happened to me!-
Well that does it for me! I am going to plug mine in the head with the .357 as soon as he gets done rolling around with the cat!
I grew up with dogs, large dogs, but have no patience for people owning pit bulls. All the sob stories about how some are good does not change the overall history we see in their attacks. Get rid of them!
A local newscaster got one of her dogs out of a drug-house bust. The female was a ‘guard dog’ for a crack house. She kept jumping on one of the cops and licking him, so he took her home and later gave it to the news lady.
If I am out anywhere and a pit bull growls or approaches or threatens my boys or our family, my pistol will be out and next will be a dead dog if it is not immediately restrained and gone.
