Woman's warning to pit bull owners after "gentle" dog launched sudden vicious attack which cost her an ARM
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. Yasmin Adam was left lying in a pool of blood after her pet savaged her flesh then chewed on her bone.
Yasmin said she used to allow Sir Hinkles to sleep in her bed every night.
Doctors at Broward General Hospital, Florida, battled to save Yasmin's left arm for three weeks before it was decided that amputation was the only way forward.
She said: "It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life.
"I could see the bone clear as day. Eventually, they amputated it from just above my elbow on December 26.
"I'm just working on getting my right arm functional again. He ripped that arm apart too, but not as badly.
After that he attacked me on and off for nine minutes. The dog ripped all the meat off my lower left arm, and that's gone now.
"I just stopped fighting the dog. I figured I was going to die. He kept trying to pull the bone out of my arm."

I keep pet hornets at home. They're gentle and well-trained. My neighbors think I'm crazy, keeping swarms of hornets at home but they've never hurt anyone. I let them cuddle with my adopted son, OJ. He's always so happy to play with our hornets!
I assume “Sir Hinkles” has been put down.

In the article it says that she didn’t even have to use a leash on the dog because he was so well behaved.
It’s a good thing that it was her and not some innocent person attacked.
If you go to a local dog pound you’ll see lots of pits and pit/mixed there. There’s a reason for that.
As many of my FReeper FRiends know, I’m the biggest dog lover in the world. But not pit bulls. Sorry. They should all be humanely put down.
Pit bulls are bombs waiting to go off. I’ve recounted this story several times before...friends lovingly raised a pit bull from a pup. It was a seemingly great dog until for no apparent reason it attacked the woman. Husband shoots it in head while it’s biting on woman’s arm. Fire department had to use jaws of life to pry the dead dog jaws off the woman’s arm. I will never trust a pit bull, no matter how gentle you tell me it is.

I'm sure boomer is lovable, nothing like pitbull that will turn on its owner without warning no matter how lovingly it was raised.
