If I am out anywhere and a pit bull growls or approaches or threatens my boys or our family, my pistol will be out and next will be a dead dog if it is not immediately restrained and gone.
Good fences make good neighbors. When I lived on the farm, I had to snuff out several dogs. Some of them looked to be otherwise good dogs, but harrassing livestock is a death sentence.
Agreed.
I carry a gun not because I expect to be attacked by a person. I live in a nice area that sort of thing simply doesn’t happen.
I carry it because of dogs. Dogs are designed to move forward. Every muscle in their body is dedicated to the forward momentum. Also, a dog doesn’t watch movies and doesn’t understand that when they are shot, they should fall over.
So if a dog attacks, you need to remove enough muscle and tendon that it simply can’t move forward. This is multiple rounds. A pitbull’s skull is also far thicker than many wild animals and a headshot may or may not have the desired affect.
To prevent a dog attack, during the attack, the animal itself must be deconstructed. It’s scary as hell to think like this.
I’m looking to move. And when we look at new areas we do look at the local pitbull content and it affects our decision. Pitbulls, and by proxy those who desire only pitbulls (Their dedicated owners) are people that we find it best to avoid.
All owners of all dogs need to Contain and Control their dogs.
Your right to own a dog ends at the point where it infringes upon the rights of others.
