Dallas police took six teens into custody for committing at least four robberies Sunday morning -- including robbing a couple at gunpoint who were out walking their dog.
The couple were out walking their dog just after midnight Sunday morning near the Bishop Arts District. A neighbors surveillance camera captured this video of three boys approaching them with guns drawn, yelling, Give me your wallet! Give me your phone!
How else day gone git day money fo skoo?
Bishop Arts neighborhood is in the middle of Oak Cliff. Its a trendy crappy area. You can get a latte and a crack whore within walking distance.
Jane has five apples, Billy has seven apples, and Trayvon has four apples.
Q: From whom did Trayvon steal his apples?
Like I figured. “Up and coming trendy” where it’s sooooo cool to move to.
“Do we know its a crappy neighborhood?”
Its Oak Cliff....
I don't know it specifically, I avoid Dallas like the plague. The article caught my attention because my stepson lives in a 'revitalized' neighborhood near the hospital district in Fort Worth that seems similar to this that borders on less than stellar neighborhoods on the boundries. In fact, an adjoining street in his neighborhood was highlighted on COPS last night for a busted crack deal.
To be fair, Momma doesn’t have any photos after age 13-14.
I mean, except for mug shots.
Gating a community is now considered racist and bigoted. An act of white supremacists who don’t embrace diversity.
Wallet.
Watch.
Gun.
Right foot.
Left knee.
Right knee.
Well, Jane only has 1 apple now. And a black eye. And she's pregnant.
Sure, my wife and I would have given you all something, it just would not have been wallets and cell phones!
"...situational awareness..."
In this case, I think that common sense would have been better than situational awareness.
Nothing good happens after midnight.
I will not cut any slack. Oak Cliff is notorious. They are dumbasses for moving there, dumbasses for assuming trendy=safe, and dumbasses for walking a dog after midnight.
Kinda hard to defend against an enemy advancing that quickly, armed with the element of surprise...even if you were armed. I watched this a few times. If the husband did have time to draw his sidearm, it is likely one of the two would have been shot. It was that quick.
Thank you for removing any reason for photos.
Agree. I try to remind myself whenever I am out to stay fully aware but its easy, and desirable at times, to slip back into a more casual state of mind. I now live in a much more rural environment, so its easy to relax and threats can be seen long before they are on your doorstep. Living in city and urban areas is going to be stressful and rough until we get back to the days of metering out swift justice against criminals. Send a few of these "sons of Obama" home in boxes, and maybe the rest will get the message.
“Nothing good happens after midnight.”
Disagree. Over in Austin the crew at Franklin’s are tending to briskets in the smoker.
PC in describing minority suspects has been going on for decades.
