'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' Trailer Lays Waste to Comic-Con

The rampage of Legendary’s MonsterVerse continued in Hall H on Saturday morning with the release of a new trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
King, which features Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga and Millie Bobby Brown, is the follow-up to 2014’s Godzilla, and follows last year’s Kong: Skull Island in the shared universe filled with gigantic threats to humanity. Brown, Farmiga, Thomas Middleditch and O'Shea Jackson Jr. appeared onstage with writer-director Michael Dougherty to tease the new movie.

Confirmed at least the tetrarchy of Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah will be in the movie.

I recall the Japanese versions of those monsters. They were hokey and the movies were dubbed, but I loved them as a kid. I didn’t realize there was a shared gigantic monster universe, but I saw both of the latest versions of Kong and Godzilla. I found both to be rather fun.

True Godzilla movies are rubber suited monsters, knock-off matchbox cars getting kicked around, cardboard buildings flattened, and badly dubbed.

I remember going to the Saturday matinee as a kid and seeing Destroy All Monsters,along with countless 3 Stooges and Disney shorts and 20 cent popcorn. The good old days!

Right no G movie is complete without ironsides. Hard to believe the guy was a raging queen off set.

My favorite part was the three little women who spoke in unison. What did they call them?

Hard to believe that he was congenial Perry Mason on screen.
Ironside was really good too.

My siblings and I went to Saturday movies while my parents did grocery shopping...by ourselves...I was 6, my sister 5, and my brother 3...today...parents would be in jail for allowing such.

My first trip to a theatre and the first movie I saw was Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956).
Got permission to go downtown with one of the older kids and see it.
I was very impressed!

I really don’t understand this. So much money and time put into this movie. Someone had to decide this would be a message about global warming. Who are these people? They are talented enough to make this movie, but too freaking stupid to see past the AGW nonsense.
