Well, I just had an bad experience. Tried to go to QanonPub site and I got a computer voice and written block warning that my computer had been infected with a virus and all my data was being stolen.
Had a number and said I had to call Microsoft to allow them to help me to remove it. Also, if I didn’t call they would be reporting the violations, and my computer would be disabled to prevent damage to Microsoft systems.
It took me 30 minutes to get the dang thing to close. Had to fiddle with it. Wonder how many people fall for that garbage?
Any one else have anything strange happen on Q sites?
Thats a scare ware attack on you. Its an ad.
Qanon.pub is under attack right now. Its acting very skittish.
Wow that is not good. I opened https://qanon.pub/ earlier as a backup site and didn’t get that.
Are you using http:// or https://?
Yes, similar two days ago. I just closed everything and then went back.
Press CTRL ALT DEL simultaneously to launch task master. Close all open and running programs starting with your web browser. Clear browser history. Restart your computer. Update and run your antivirus scan.
I’ve had similar experiences twice while exploring rabbit holes, but not on qanon. It doesn’t let you do much, but I found disconnecting the internet connection stopped the voice and alarms allowing me to close my browser and reboot. Virus scans revealed nothing.
My guess is calling the number enables the scammers to get you to pay them to “fix” it remotely.
VIPRE has not let anything through that was malware for years. It uses traditional means as well as some proprietary ways to prevent such.
WOW!
So far I’ve been ok.... thanks for the heads up, though that things like that can happen as we seek Q info.
