One person died and multiple people were injured in a shooting Toronto Sunday night, police say. Nine people have been transported to hospitals.
Six people were transported to one trauma center, two to local hospitals, and one to a pediatric trauma center, officials said.
An unknown number of people are being treated at the scene of the shooting, paramedics said.
The point is that if you cannot go buy a gun when you decide that you need one, then guns aren’t really legal.
Knowing that, you go immediately to the regulating authority and apply. It can be done online. Can’t be too hard to get legal for a break- action shotgun. This guy dicked off for a long time. If he’s prohibited from owning a gun, he’s a fool for living where he does without a big dog. Or two.
Obviously more gun laws needed. Maybe lil Dave and the hoggalites can fit Toronto into their summer tour.
I don’t think people should have to go to a regulating authority when they realize they need a gun to protect themselves. That is how it works in places like NJ, NYC, Chicago, etc. Ask Carol Browne how well going immediately to the regulating authority works in real life. Regulating authorities simply don’t give a sh$t about what threats people are facing. On the positive side, the NJ gubmint incompetents will probably mail her permit to her address in a year or two.
I see lots of Canucks on Facebook that have decent rifle collections...regular folks. Not even trying to get legal is inexcusable, if that’s the hand you’re dealt. I once had a girlfriend that flatly refused to wear a seabelt. Why? Because she was Catholic, and refused to obey that particular law because she was protesting the legality of abortion. OK. The laws of physics don’t care. It’s irrational.
I guess I might turn away too but would be nice to hold the video steady in a crisis.
There didn’t appear to be many Canadians able to defend themselves in Toronto today.
was it part and parcel again?
Happens plenty of times in the US , as well. I’m sure that it’s exceedingly difficult to get legal to carry a handgun in Toronto. Or Chicago. And folks don’t walk around with rifles slung over their shoulders. But getting a shotgun to keep in your home in rural BC ought to be doable. But you’ve got to initiate the process. “Honey, I’ll spear the cougar if it attacks you. “ wouldn’t fly if your wife thought you could get a shotgun. If he not prohibited from owning a gun, then they’re both idiots.
The BBC are already blaming “a white man”.
White in Toronto could be anyone from a Canadian, European immigrant, some people from the Middle East, or even lighter skinned latinos. Hard to tell if this was a targeted attack or some but randomly killing people. It does not look like a professional hit. More likely someone who has gone postal, or a terrorist.
Most of the shootings in Toronto involve black gunmen and black victims. The percentage of blacks in Toronto is less than 10%, but about 70% of the shooting victims have been black. Jamaican immigrants have always been a problem and have more recently been rivalled by the Somalians.
Toronto has always reminded me of a ‘retro’ Chicago. Gang violence makes them more like today's Chicago.
Toronto is a typical city run by libs in a country run by libs. Question is, why wouldn’t there be gangs. We have more than our share of ne’er-do-wells.
Shooter is now dead; unclear if he was shot by police or committed suicide.
The police apparently know who he is but have not released the name.
We actually do.
We all stemmed from the same bill of Rights. It’s over the years they’ve perverted it terribly here.
If he is a Muslim, this never happened
Thanks for the replies.
The left insists that only the US has a gang problem. From them, we also hear that Canada is supposed to be this magical place where everyone from all over the world lives in single-player bliss.
