It's safe to say that University of North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora is not a fan of the trends in football.
Fedora spoke to the media on Wednesday, saying "our game is under attack" and expressing a number of unpopular opinions, including the idea that football does not cause CTE.
[snip]
Fedora believes that rule changes involving the physicality of the game will make football "unrecognizable" within ten years.

So how is the fall of the National Felons League going to bring down the USA? Get real. I don’t remember its part in the Revolution, War of 1812, WWI or WWII.
What will end football is when the insurance companies no longer will cover it.
“I looked at him, I was like, Youre lying, thats not true. Thats a lie, she protested, crying as she remembers it now. We trusted that the coaches were watching them, and, you know, taking care of them.
Police later told Jennifer that witnesses say her son was raped with a broomstick. He has not corroborated those accounts.”

We have bigger things to worry about. To hell with the NFL.
Legends League
Baseball is the real American sport. It requires intelligence and skill in addition to athletic ability.
Football has always changed. Forward pass. Helmets. TV Timeouts. Instant replay. The list is endless.
I played Lacrosse in high school/academy and even got a scholarship for a D2 school. The only reason why i played it was that i had the hots for the coach’s daughter and wanted to impress her.
Your game is too dangerous to participants’ brains and its time is coming to an end. There are plenty of other sports, it’s not important.
Yeah, baby! College ball starts in about a month.
IIRC there are at least a few other towns where similar things have happened. Maybe a psychiatrist who specializes in criminal sexual behavior could study exactly what is the motivation of the perpetrators.
He’s absolutely right. The pussification rules passed a few years ago (no targeting, launching or horsecollar tackling) have dramatically worsened the game. Hard hits are supposed to be what football is all about.
The CTE issue is far from proven. So far all they have are a small self selected group of longtime NFL players who thought they had the condition. That’s hardly a random sample and says nothing about College or High School players who haven’t taken nearly as many hits and haven’t hit nearly as hard as NFL players are routinely subject to.
The sport has been played not for years, not for decades but for generations. If it were “that” bad....if it led to an epidemic of brain damage, don’t you think we would have noticed it by now? Generations of players have played the sport, gone on to have full lives, grown old and died. Its not like we have no data. We are talking about literally tens of millions of American men who have played over the course of 4-5 generations of football.
Yet because of some sensationalist reporting about a group of NFL players who already thought they had a problem, we are to ruin the sport? Ridiculous. By the way....the league minimum salary in the NFL is $440,000 annually. If you feel the risk is too great, then the solution is simple. Just forego that money and don’t play. The rest assume the risk. They are damned well compensated for it.
Remember when this pinhead told the clerk, “I came to git me one of them huntin’ licenses” or something close to this?
CTE is as real as global warming. When a movie comes out before there have been studies done for a few years, you know it is bovine excrement.

So true. Additionally they are ignoring the possibility that a lot of the brain damage could be caused by the rampant use of steroids by pre-high school to pro players. Roid rage, personality changes, brain damage?
Thats funny. Did it work?
1. I have no interest in communist kickball.
2. We had two really bad hires in a row and to be honest, I have no faith in Mullen which is really depressing.
As a Gator though, think how many of the greatest plays in school history were ferocious hits by defensive players. Those would all be penalties now. That’s just pathetic.
Its the same for every other school.
THIS Is fotball.

Yeah ;) I was also on the baseball team and my dad was getting mad at me, saying ‘OK you can simply ask her out ya know? Instead of going thru this crap..” I eventually asked her out when he made me pick up the team gear at his house before the state finals..
