These guys built a NERF bazooka/rocket launcher and it is positivalutely SCARY and awesome to behold. 2.5" barrel, pneumatic system powered by a 9-volt battery. The "NERF darts" are pool noodles with PVC fittings, put together and look exactly like ginormous official NERF ammo. 3D printed cosmetics including flip-up sights, safety switch and button to fire. Finally it's painted with the same scheme as real NERF toys.
Here's the video of it on YouTube.
That brings back memories. I got one for Christmas as a kid and it was my favorite toy that year.

Posted in Chat. It was kind of fun. The title was an accurate description of what to expect. I fail to see the issue.

Id like to know how they made it.
My first thought. :-)
Dry ice is a hoot but it is C02 and we all know THAT is bad for the planet.
When I was a lad we used Calcium Carbide.
Dang old carbon again..
I got my thumb messed up lighting the tin can cannon, but that was because the guy overloaded the muzzle.
know one was killed, and we learned to drill.
NYtexan Made a potato cannon that JimRob shot.... “FOOMP”
Crazy ass kids
Flip up sights? 3d printed what?
The greatest innovation on NYT’s potato cannon was he beveled the edge of the muzzle, so you just stuff that tater in, and I shreds away the waste for a perfect fit.
Hat Tip NYTexan
Jim, the look on your face was priceless... “FOOMP” LOL
We used white rain hair spray as a Propellant. Gasoline in a nose mister is the best but it has it’s obvious drawbacks.
