Some reports boys are being drugged to make this journey. To be clear, Thai PM was clear today the children were not given anaesthetic: “Who the hell would give that to a kid?” He says they were given “something to make them to make them not too nervous and panic” #thamluangcave

Sedation is probably the proper word. Anesthesia makes it sound as though they’re knocking them out, which would be foolhardy under those conditions.

This story has consumed my attention.
Probably because I have a 10 year old grandson, who is a cub scout and soccer player - cannot imagine living through such an ordeal if he were in this kind of dangerous situation.
