That speech is nothing compared to the one Hillary would be making if she’d won, to put Barack Obama or Kamala Harris or some equally detestable leftist on the Supreme Court.
I am sure McCain will use this chance to screw us a final time.
I wonder why under Obama, that Kennedy and Ginsberg did not retire to solidify their liberal seats with a Obama pick. Nobody had any idea who would win the next election.
-——Why doesn’t the patriot, the maverick drag his ass back to Washington, DC to vote for this? Clinging to this empty seat at a time when we need all hands on deck is a treasonous act.-——
Oh’ come on. Give McCain a break, he’s frozen like a thanksgiving turkey in deep freeze...
Really hard to drag is ass anywhere...
Collins and Murkowski both voted for Gorsuch. If they don’t support a GOP president on something as simple and important as a Supreme Court confirmation vote, then the Republican Party should be disbanded. I suspect everyone in Washington knows this.
It isn’t Kagen (Fred Flintstone in drag) that has health issues, it’s the wise Latina.
Sotomayer has diabetes and could croak along with Buzzy Ginsberg. That would give Trump 4 justice picks. Nice.
Did either Murkowski or Collins vote no on Gorsuch? Then why would they vote no now?
It doesn’t matter hat you do, tingle-boy.
You don’t have the numbers.
We just need to make sure NO one on the GOP wavers. And I don’t think they will. Not this time.
You have to see this:
i’m already looking past this second epic meltdown, and looking forward to the third one, which should be a real doozy ... the level of hatred, violence, and insanity should be enough that Dems won’t control the Fed government for at least the next generation or two ...
They were all sure Hillary would win. That’s for sure.
But when Scalia was murdered ... er, died mysteriously with no autopsy etc they may possibly have become concerned with appearances.
Don’t forget Gregory Peck.
“Im wondering that Kennedy didnt choose the timing in hopes of giving the Democrats something to run on.”
i thought of that too, but if that were the case, he would have waited longer to retire, because retiring now allows enough time to install his replacement BEFORE the midterms, which means it more or less becomes a non-issue in November ...
“I am sure McCain will use this chance to screw us a final time.”
all he has to do is fail to retire in time for a replacement to be appointed for the SCOTUS vote this autumn ... i suspect he’s in no shape to actually appear in the Senate himself for the vote ...
Because McCain is filled with hate for anything Trump does or endorses. The POS proves he hates Trump more than he does his country.
“Did either Murkowski or Collins vote no on Gorsuch? Then why would they vote no now?”
they both voted yes ... so no reason to think they won’t do the same here ... SCOTUS appointments are the place a President and his party will have the most lasting influence of the direction of our nation, and it’s the one time when party members HAVE to put aside their petty internal squabbles, otherwise they essentially forfeit all pretense to leadership ...
Because they as much as said so
I don’t know how many here have seen this specific meltdown by Chris Matthews over the Democrats’ roll in the upcoming nomination process, but it is a MUST-SEE.
In utter fear and rage over the High Court moving to the right, he is demanding that Democrats stop the process from going forward.
It’s hilarious to watch the host, Steve Kornacki, try to handle him.
I like how the other commentator, calmly and rationally, says that unfortunately for the Democrats, there’s nothing they can do about the nominee going forward.
