Special counsel Robert Mueller said in a court filing Friday that his prosecutors will not present evidence regarding Trump campaign collusion with Russia at an upcoming trial for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
“The government does not intend to present at trial evidence or argument concerning collusion with the Russian government,” reads a filing submitted by Mueller’s team in federal court in Virginia on Friday.

If what Manafort did was commonplace for the creatures of DC and no one else was ever held to those standards, isn't that the foundation for an affirmative defense? If the Podesta's did the same thing, or more, and they weren't prosecuted, why does he? If the Podesta's were allowed to retroactively document what they did, why can't he?
If these stories are true, about Mueller getting more DOJ lawyers to "help" with the cases, going forward, couldn't it mean that he knows this dog is riddled with fleas and he can try and let some junior DOJ lawyer take the hit when these cases blow up in their faces?
I think Special counsel Robert Mueller will wait until just before the midterms and throw out some alleged allegations in an attempt to influence the outcomes which will disappear as soon as the elections are over..

Manafort is a lock to go down for tax evasion and other financial crimes, so it makes sense for Mueller to stay away from RussiaRussiaRussia.

The bogus charges against Manafort have to do with his dealings with Ukraine, many years before Donald Trump came down the escalator at Trump Tower in June 2015 and announced he was a candidate for president.
Simple. Mueller is squeezing Manafort to get him to turn on Trump. SOP for zealous Federal prosecutors.

Mueller has not charged Manafort with tax evasion.
Mueller has charged him with not filling out paperwork from a decade ago when Manafort was working with Clinton and Podesta in the Ukraine.
Podesta never filled out the forms until after Manafort was indicted. Ten years after they were required.
Mueller needs everything exposed about him back to his birth. He’s worse than dirty, IMO, and needs to be fired.
Which is exactly what Lawrence E. Walsh did 4 days before the 1992 election by indicting Caspar Weinberger for Iran-Contra -- leading the Clintons to absurdly claim an indictment against H.W. Bush could come next.
The one count indictment was later tossed out by a judge. but the damage was done.

But there’s nothing to turn Manafort onto Trump. I’m not sure Trump even knew the guy that well, so what can he know about Trump nobody else knows?
