Overall, the fights were pretty good. I had Vannata favored over Klose (like the odds makers) and was surprised how well Klose performed. Solid stuff. Assuncao can always be relied on to fight hard. Costa versus Hall was good entertainment, except for the nut shots. Rountree flooring Saki was a bit of a shock. Both are hard hotters but I fully expected Saki to be the victor. My feed totally screwed up for the Chiesa v. Pettis fight, so I only got audio of the result. Saw bits and pieces of the Felder v. Perry fight and then the interview got cut off as the Floribama native was talking.
The co-main event was a massive let-down and both guys should drop in the rankings as a result. Ngannou should be forced to fight Lesnar for his next fight. Put a guy with weak wrestling defense against a wrestler while simultaneously putting a guy with a questionable chin up against a hard hitter (if he actually throws).
And the main event? Wow! Love both fighters. Was leaning toward Miocic but super happy for Cormier becoming “Champ champ”.
Tonight’s card is killer, top to bottom. Gonna be a great show.
