Cancer injection eliminates tumors in mice

(FOX 26) - Scientists have taken a giant step towards curing cancer, according to a new study.

Stanford university researchers have found a way to clear cancer in mice with immune-system stimulating injections.

The report published in the Science Translational Medicine Journal last week shows promise in terms of destroying tumors.

The new approach is a form of immunotherapy, which uses the body's own disease-fighting power to battle cancer.

Scientists report using compound injections to effectively eradicate cancer tumors in mice.

According to the study, their approach worked startlingly well -- even in mice who had lymphoma in two different areas of their body.

They injected minute amounts of two immune-stimulating agents directly into solid tumors in mice and saw that it eliminated all traces of cancer in the animals, including distant, untreated metastases.

"In this way, 87 of 90 mice were cured of the cancer. Although the cancer recurred in three of the mice, the tumors again regressed after a second treatment. The researchers saw similar results in mice bearing breast, colon and melanoma tumors." It's been tested on mice with lymphoma, breast, colon and melanoma tumors.

A clinical trial is being planned to test the method on human lymphoma patients.

I think that Enlightened1 is correct in one sense - people do have to take more responsibility for their own health than they do.

We abuse ourselves relentlessly - and greatly just in terms of how we decide to Think and Believe - and then expect the doctor to ‘fix’ it.

I’ve had many doctors who were very good; to some of them I owe my life and the elimination of incredible pain. I can’t slight that.

(As a cook, sometimes I just throw my mistakes away - even the cats won’t eat them ;-)

A bit off topic here a bit, but my ex-wife used to make fun of me for strictly using a timer when doing the cooking and kept mocking me for being too "Scientific Minded".

I kept telling her that since when I'm at home I'm almost always multi-tasking stuff esp on my computers.

The one fine day she totally burnt the dinners and had to call me to remove the SMOKE ALARMS (yeah it was that bad) in the living rooms & kitchen and then open up both the front & back doors to get the smoke out of the house.

She was doing her usual Youtubing while on the living room computer and had the kitchen in FULL VIEW but yet burnt up everything.

After I had returned from the going out and buying dinner at a chinese take-out for both of us, I just put the timer on her plate and said "it not crime to ask to use it :-) "

I like the ones you can wear on a lanyard around your neck. They’re great for all kinds of chores, and ‘go with’ you so you can’t ignore them ;-)

Wife says they’re doing amazing things with cancer immunotherapy nowadays, except all of the good stuff is with poisons - some having very nasty side effects. Better than dying, but still, while you’re going through it, you might just wish you were dead.

"And in 300 years the government approves it."

"The Right To Try Law" was signed by Trump a few weeks ago. Signing a binding no sue agreement with the researchers is all that is needed.

Imho the Medical community here in the USA is not about to CURE people anymore, but only to TREAT patients.

I’m not so sure about this old conspiracy theory, that Big Pharma is treating us all like lab rats (and cash cows).

Capitalism gives everyone a chance at fame and fortune through competition, and even the biggest of the Big Pharma players have sharks circling. If some whiz kid comes up with a breakthrough lab result, Monstro Pharma may try to buy it and suppress it, but Ginormo Pharma may want to sell it instead.

I know from investing that small biotech labs (and there are LOTS of them) have all sorts of incredible things in the pipeline. Clinical trials take forever (in three Phases) but the rewards can be staggering.

So if our whiz kid doesn’t like what Monstro Pharma has to say then maybe Submicro Pharma is more to his liking, or Teenieweenie Pharma.

It only takes a few decades to get a drug through the approval process.

Trump's approval of the Right to Try legislation is going to allow such drugs to be tested on terminally ill patients before the govt. gives their approval....That's huge.

As much as I love the President, I have to chalk that one up to public relations. The FDA already allowed some use of experimental drugs for compassionate reasons.

The fact is that experimental drugs are classified as “experimental” for a reason. There is a lot of data to be gathered between the time a prototype drug moves into initial animal testing until it is ready for human trials. And then there is even more data needed to determine dose, safety, and efficacy. The fact that a drug works to cure cancer in mice does not mean that it is ready to use or will even work in humans.

This is what a lot of Grand Conspiracy Theorists seem to miss: not enough people could agree on enough stuff to really ‘take over the world’ ;-)

Yes and more often Doctors end up killing people by giving them man made souped up modern day quackery also known as big pharma. They kills tens of thousands ever year! I’ve seen over and over and over again. No thanks I know how this movie ends. I’ve seen a lot of good trusting people take the advise you are suggesting and ended up dead.

What is happening is you are projecting on to me what drives your thinking which is fear. That’s why you said it because you are thinking it.

For the record, God did not make life so complicated that we could not take care of ourselves or have to be health geniuses to do it.

I understand that fear drives lots of money towards the medical establishment. Follow the money. Nevertheless, in most situations it eventually still kills the patient after they financially drain them? But hey that’s why they call it a “practice” right??? Haha! Enjoy being a guinea pig why they “practice” on you. Like I said earlier God did not make health that complicated.

For the record, I have taken time out to understand my own health. In the last decade I have only been sick twice. I no longer get the annual colds, bad allergies and feel really good now. Both times I was sick it was less than 3 days. Now going back when I use to follow what you are suggesting. I ran into all sorts of issues. I was typically sick every year 4 or 5 times.

I took the time to learn about myself and it’s not that hard. It was easier than I ever thought it would be. This was because the medical establishment and big pharma told me my entire life that I could not do it on my own. When I would ask for answers. What is causing this and what is causing that? The answer was “we don’t know”? SIt was lies and fear. Nothing could be further from the truth. I suggest you do the same, but I would not be surprised if you are some how financially tied into this.

Let me give you a simple analogy. Let’s say you had a car problem. Would you trust a mechanic that said he did not know what was wrong with your car or why it was not working? Furthermore, he could not tell you how it happens and could only temporarily patch you up. That’s what you are doing every time you go to one of these places. All they do is treat they symptoms instead of getting to the root of the trouble. I get it though. The money is not in the cure. They just want you to keep coming back.

Fear is why you think the way you do. That you are incapable of taking care of yourself and that you have to depend on someone else for your own health. Take charge of your life and you will bring in confidence. Although I’m not confident for stitches, broken bones, etc... In that case I will see a doctor. However, if it’s chemical or biological. No thanks I will take care of that on my own.
