I know you know my comment about finishing my second novel was tongue in cheek, but I hear you about the paperbacks. I had over a thousand that I had accumulated over the years and had read many hundreds of them multiple times. The last time we moved, my wife persuaded me to get rid of them. I realized after giving about half them to Goowill, she was keeping her hardcover cook books that weighed about 500 lbs. in total. Even though every recipe known to humankind is on the internet. I kept the second half of my books. There is something about reading a book that is in your hands that cannot be matched by online reading experience. Maybe I’m just old, but the tactile experience of turning the pages, folding a corner, penciling in a note, are all things that are part of the experience.
Of course guns are illegal in Ontario Canada. This story must be fake. No one ever gets shot there. They solve disputes by pummeling each other mercilessly about the face and head with flowers until the vanquished submits. ;-)
Oh the humanity! I can’t keep track of them...is this the jagoff who was just on here a day or two ago bitching about the blind woman’s guide dog? I hope so.
