Walking around Manhattan during the month of June, Rainbow Pride flags are on display everywhere. In the windows of large chain stores and banks, as well as small eateries and bars.
Williams Sonoma had a display of dishes in their window that represented the Rainbow Pride flag colors. Zara clothing store was selling men's tank tops that look like they were specially designed to replicate the exact shades of each of the Rainbow Pride flag colors. They all hung from a rack in the designated order of colors, approximating the flag. Last night, Madison Square Garden was lit up in Rainbow Pride flag colors, while transgender pop star, Sam Smith, performed, in what seemed to be the culmination of Pride month in New York.
Yet filling the gaps between all these various businesses who are so eager to show their support for Pride Month, were many Muslim owned smoke shops, bodegas, and Middle Eastern restaurants, none of whom had the Pride flag on display.
Last June, during Pride Month, a pro LGBT rally was held in Chicago. A pro-LGBT Jewish group marched with Rainbow flags that had the Star of David in the middle. The organizers of the march told these protestors that they were not allowed to display this flag because the march was "officially pro-Palestinian", so the Star of David might be offensive to Muslims.
It is now the norm that any demonstration by Left wingers, be it for abortion, environmentalism, Gay rights, immigration, etc, are all "officially pro-Palestinian". Black Lives Matter's charter calls for end to all diplomatic and economic relations with Israel.
Sadly, Jewish Liberals are desperate to be part of the whole Rainbow party, and are required to check their Jewishness at the door, as it might be tainted by Zionism, or just plain money grubbing greed. How happy the Left wingers would be to see Muslims marching with a Rainbow flag with the Muslim Star and Crescent in the middle. But you'll never see that flag anywhere. No Muslim would dare wave it or wear it. Meanwhile, the Jewish Liberals, so eager to show their LGBT pride, are told that their Jewish Rainbow Pride flags are not wanted and are insensitive.
You would think that Muslims would appreciate the support they get from Left wingers, in their zeal to fight Islamophobia, and would be willing to recipricate. But apparently, the alliance between the LGBT crowd and Muslims is a one way street.
That's the way moral vanity works. It's not about compassion for people who are truly in need. Nor is about a true alliance between people who need help, and those who want to give help. It's about people who want to show their moral superiority over others, even though the beneficiaries of this so called kindness and tolerance, have, at best, disinterest, and at worst, contempt, for those who are bending over backwards to show their compassion and tolerance to them.
The fact that not one Muslim owned business in the most Gay friendly area of one of the most Liberal cities in the world was willing to display the Rainbow Pride flag during Pride month, is a great example of the hypocrisy and futility of Left wing moral vanity.
I can think of quite a few acronyms for the word pride - all of them rude.
Did you ever notice that their rainbow doesn’t contain a bow, nor is it the true pastel colors of an actual rainbow? An actual rainbow is God’s promise to always be with us.

As a Christian, I call “cultural appropriation” on the LG (etc) bunch and want our rainbow back. It is an ancient symbol in Jewish and Christian history.
I’ll probably be waiting a long time for my cultural appropriation claim to be acknowledged.
Did you even know the trannies have their own flag, as well? Neither did I. Sheesh ... is there no place anymore where politics and lefties haven't contaminated? I knew the Red Hen restaurant lady also is part owner of a yarn store near the restaurant, but I had no idea the yarn world was so infested everywhere. I am so naive sometimes.

Actually all they care is that they aren’t being killed off now. They never cared about the next month, next year, next decade, etc.
