A Rite-Aid store in California has come up with a creative way to repel loiterers: Barry Manilow music playing full blast.

The Oak Park neighborhood in San Diego has seen an uptick in crime and homeless people, according to The Wall Street Journal.

People sleeping in their cars and hanging around the parking lot have caused customers to complain to the management team.

CVS did it to me with “We Built This City” by Starship. Couldn’t get out of the frickin’ store fast enough. Now that I think if it, I never went back!

If that doesn’t work, I don’t know what will!!!

I prefer Ray Steven’s parody of Manilow....”Nobody suffers quite like you do”

I might be the odd man out, but I like BM’s music. I can still recall attending one of his concerts in Phoenix with a girl I was dating. He was a fantastic entertainer and he sounded better live then on tape.

I’d suggest Barbara Streisand may be more effective, but that might be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

I can’t understand all the social problems the Golden State is saddled with.

I mean, being as ‘progressive’ as they proudly claim to be, and ‘tolerant’, where anything goes (except Christianity)you wouldn’t think they’d have a problem in the world.

Baffling.

Years ago store owners kept loiterers at bay by playing classical music at high volume. They mounted the speakers high enough so the yoots couldn’t disconnect them.

Classical music sends feral yoots into conniptions, for some reason.

I saw them in ‘concert’ here at the Destin Seafood Festival a few years ago.

One of the band members lives here and is from SW Georgia!..............

This could backfire.

Might get rid of homeless people. Homo people might take their place.

Isn’t Rite-Aid worried that Barry Manilow might discourage customers, too?
