Students and scholars are up in arms over a decision to cut thousands of years from the Advanced Placement World History curriculum, with some historians fretting it will make the course too "Western-centric."
“The College Board wants to remove over 8,000 of those years, and start the course in 1450 CE,” declares a petition seeking to prevent the change, which had already exceeded 11,000 signatures by press time.

Well, in their defense, that WAS the greatest victory by an intelligence agency in human history-—the capture of the U.S. Government by the KGB.
But somehow I don’t think the curriculum will even cover that.
Evil idiots. They’re totally blatant about dummying down education. We’re already being doomed, ultimately, by the poor quality of education over the last 2-3 decades. They just want to ramp it up, so even those who know enough to want a good education, will find it very difficult to get one.
There’s no way a student can effectively understand the modern world by starting at 1450 AD.
College Board just wants make room for “multicultural” studies.

Even if you only include cultures with some type of writing you omit the Indus Valley cultures, Sumerians, and starting 4,000 years ago the Chinese, Japanese, Egyptians, Mesopotamian cultures, the Greeks, Romans, Christianity, Muslim rise (the fact that Spain was occupied for about 800 years); not to mention Incan and Mayan cultures and their predecessors. Does President Trump have some influence on the deciding body to downgrade the Chinese?
