Apple CEO Tim Cook intends to continue lambasting U.S. immigration policies and other issues that trouble him to avoid falling into an “appalling silence.”

Cook outlined his views on when CEOs should protest government policies during a Monday evening appearance at a business conference hosted by Fortune magazine.. His remarks came a week after he condemned the Trump administration’s since-reversed practice of separating children from parents accused of crossing the U.S. border illegally in an interview with The Irish Times.

If he had dodged the politically charged subject, Cook said he would have been cast into “the appalling silence of the good people category and this is something that I never want to be a part of.”

Cook listed education, privacy rights, the environment and human rights as other key issues for him and Apple. …

Good for you. It will just continue to show how ignorant you are when dealing with real life issues. The world is full of evil and more gadgets will not help. Only decent God fearing people can accomplish that.

"...Homosexuals can’t help themselves with their attention-seeking disorders..."

It is funny how they seek to out-flamboyance each other.
Good grief, can’t they just put in a day at work, hit the gym, have a meal, watch TV, and go to sleep?
The gay and lesbian folks with whom I am familiar are consumed with attention and making a spectacle of themselves.

Yep. From drama queens to gossipers to just making a scene.

This dude is nothing but an iphone salesman. When Steve Jobs ran the joint they were making some huge innovation every couple of years. I mean new products that were truly different. Since Cook took it over, you can get an iphone in different colors and they stole some of the most popular features already in Android phones. Then a year later, more of that. Better speaker! Another year and now it's water resistant, just like Samsung! And so on. ZERO innovation. They are running mostly on brand loyalty at this point. They went from being a thought leader to being a fast follower, in marketing parlance.

But he sure does care about socialism ... I mean social causes and he'll use the reputation of Apple as his own personal platform.

Ok Mr Tim. How many “immigrants” will you care for in your own home? Why that would be ZERO. Same as Bono, Springsteen, Sting, Obama, Clooney, the Pope, Trudeau, EU and UN snobs, Microsoft and airline execs, and of course, Paris Hilton. You don’t want that riff raff around your house, unless they are cleaning.

No Timmy, your money does not make you wise, or mature or even important. If you want to spout your opinion on how the government should be run to everyone then run for office and buy votes like most Democrats.

Well since his products are made by slave labor in China, he needs to stop being "silent" about China's abuses of all of the above. He thinks he is slick with Apple marketing going after that liberal niche. He's a typical billionaire hypocrite.

China’s stock market is in bear territory. Soon I hope to be able to find American made goods again without having to resort to the thrift store. People are mad at Apple for caving to China’s demands on moving iCloud data. There’s been controversy for years about inhumane conditions in Apple’s factories.

Given the inhumane conditions of Chinese workers at the behest of Apple, the ranting about the border doesn’t look so much like conscience as it does a way to take down Trump for cutting into this guys ill-gotten loot.

I have to learn the Apple operating system, but I couldn’t tell you why. Their products are slow and overpriced and it is illegal to run their operating system on a PC. Not impossible, just illegal. How is that in the spirit of the tinkerers who made this company great?

Oh, and did I mention the potential for human rights abuses thanks to the movement of the iCloud data? Tim Cook didn’t seem to have a problem with that if the alternative was losing m-o-n-e-y. How much blood does this man have on his hands?

As long as it’s his opinions and doesn’t make it company policy.

He has the right to speak his mind, and others have the right to buy other products if they don’t like what he has to say.

All as it should be.
