HUNTINGTOWN, MD. Maryland State Police report that a dog that is similar in appearance and aggressiveness to a Pit Bull mauled a woman in Calvert County on June 21, 2018. The breed of dog, a specially bred fighting dog known as a DOGO, is known for having an unsteady temperament. The young child of a police officer was killed in Lusby in a pit bull attack recently.
The victim is identified as Jenna Rae Sutphin, 28, of the unit block of Cherry Hill Road in Huntingtown, Maryland. She was transported from the scene to Calvert Memorial Health Center by ambulance and later transferred by air to Washington MedStar Hospital Center where she died.
At about 7:15 a.m., a trooper from Prince Frederick Barrack responded to the unit block of Cherry Hill Road and Route 4 in Huntingtown, Maryland, after receiving an animal complaint from motorists passing by the area. Upon his arrival at the scene, the trooper found the dog actively engaged in the attack on the woman in an overgrown area near the highway, adjacent to the front yard of the victims home.
Police say that as the trooper approached the scene, the dog aggressively began moving towards the trooper.
In fear for his safety, the trooper fired his State Police issued .40 caliber pistol, wounding the dog resulting in the winged dog fleeing from the scene of the attack.
The trooper immediately began rendering aid to the victim until EMS personnel arrived on the scene. Sheriff deputies from the Calvert County Sheriffs Office also responded to assist.
In an attempt to apprehend the dog and prevent it from doing further harm to anyone, police on scene fired again, fatally wounding the animal. The dog reportedly belonged to the womans fiance.

2. Pit Bull The Pit Bulls build is perfect for taking down a hog. It has a very strong bite, that some say is a locking bite. They bite, hold, and shake their prey as natural instinct. They make good hunting dogs, but some would say that they are a definite risk around children. The pitbull with its immense jaws, and superb strength is considered a catch dog. 12. Dogo Argentino One of the most feared Catch dogs to wild pigs is this not so famous bully breed . The Dogo Argentino. With its massive jaws and muscular body, this breed is highly capable of taking down a full size wild boar. The Dogo Argentino makes an excellent guard dog, and will protect his master to the death. This dog was bred to hunt big game in Argentina, specifically cougars and wild boar.
If Obama had a dogo...
He would have named him “Oboe”.
Excuse me. It has been a stressful few days. I must go now.
Oh Lord, my God, grant me peace in my heart, eliminate the pain and relieve me of the stress I feel. Allow Your serenity and love to consume me.
Relax my mind, my body and my soul as I surrender myself to You. Revive the joy and energy I once had. Allow Your light to infiltrate through the darkness and grace me so I can smile again.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
I hope some family members take the child away from the "mother." No person can call themselves a "mother" or "father" if they're not ready to defend their offspring by any means necessary.
Anyone who breeds dogs to fight should be executed.
“Dogo Argentino. Not a pit bull.”
LOL. It’s a pit bull bred with great Danes and boxers to make it bigger!
Heard it on 600 or 760 AM radio.
Local San Diego.
You are correct.
The Dogo is not known for unstable temperament. Quite the contrary.
L
I don’t feel like innocent people got killed. It was their decision to own these crazed animals.
A loving dog trainer who made the pet a part of the family. So how could the dog be a killer?
She chose poorly.
A person attacked like that...
Well..
I just don’t want to judge anyone.
Hm. That seems a tad overmuch. Any exceptions?
A K9 trainer would be presumed to know more than the average person before they became a breeder -and particularly about an extreme type of dog. At that point to then become a breeder of a dog so bred to hold, shake, and kill - and to make it a pet - I do believe there is something missing there.
I actually would be interested to know the statistics of the dog breeds used by the feral hog hunters. I will investigate.
